"Today's the day," Cat Valentine said to herself. "The day you break up with Beck." She was having major problems with him. He kept picking fights with her and rarely talked to her anymore and constantly made her feel like crap. They always made plans to hang out, but he always cancelled with some ridiculous excuse.
She looked into the mirror one last time before she left to go meet up with Beck. She was wearing black super skinny jeans, a white T-shirt that had a giant cupcake on it, and white TOMS. Her hair was hanging down loose and the front of it was braided to the left to look like a headband. "This is it." She muttered to herself.
She called him and told him she was gonna be at the park in a few minutes.
"What's up, Cat?" Beck asked his red velvet hair girlfriend.
"I gotta say what's on my mind
Something about us
doesn't seem right these days
life keeps getting in the way

"Cat, what are you trying to say?"

Now it was Beck's turn to sing. "What about us?
What about everything we've been through?"
"What about trust?" Cat sung back.
"You know I never wanted to hurt you," Beck countered back.
"And what about me?"Cat's eyes were full of tears but she managed to keep from crying out and messing up what she was saying.
Beck thought for a second, "What am I supposed to do?"
"I gotta leave but I'll miss you"
"I don't understand, Cat. What went wrong?"
"What went wrong! You barely talk to me anymore, when you do bother to talk to me, you're always picking fights. We make plans to meet, but you always cancel with some ridiculous story. This has been happening for months now, Beck. I love you and we've had a good year and five months, but I'm tired of feeling like crap and always being put down and upset by you. I'll miss you, but you've gotta understand."
"I'll try to understand. I'm so sorry Cat."
"I've gotta go, goodbye. We're officially over now."
'Wait, before you go, a goodbye hug?" Cat nodded her head. They hugged for a while and Cat tried to hold in her tears.
