Leafpool covers her face and muzzle with her paws… sobbing while looking at Cinderpelt's motionless body
Where'd you go? I miss you so. Seems like it's been forever that you've been gone.
(Clan gathers around body) Firestar bends down and presses head against bloody pelt.
I said sometimes I feel like (bleep) some days I wanna quit, and just stay normal for a bit. I don't understand why you always have to be gone, cause' I'm alone and your trips always feel so long and I want you to know that it's a little messed up that I'm stuck here waiting, sitting here debating, telling you that I have had with you and your career, me and the rest of the clan here singing
Tear drops from Firestars muzzle. Rain pours down, washing the blood off Cinderpelt. "She's gone."
He meowed.
Where'd you go? I miss you so. Seems like it's been forever, that you've been gone. I just want you to come home. You know the place we used to barbecue chicken and ribs. Where we used to have a party even Halloween with candy by the pile, but not you only stop by every once in a while.
Leafpool looks up at Firestar, sobbing, nodding, knowing she was dead. More tears came. And more. And more. Until the rain got so bad that the clan had to go in their dens.
I just want you to know it's a little messed up that I'm stuck here waiting, no longer debating, tired of sitting and hating and making these excuses of why you're not around, and feeling so useless. I guess the saying is right. You never know what you have till' it's gone.
Clan disperses. Leaving Leafpool with Cinderpelt's cold, wet, motionless, limp body. Slowly, Leafpool fell asleep to her own weep.

Firestar pulls Leafpool away from Cinderpelt's body, Leafpool struggling against him, watching the warriors carry the body away… Leafpool screams for mercy… then sobs.
