*beep, beeeeeeeeeeep*
"Quit honking your damn horn!"
*BEEP BEEP BEEP~*
"Don't make me get out of this god damn car and shove that stupid noise maker down you throat!"
"Sam, yelling at them to stop isn't going to make them stop." He pauses. "And threatening them isn't going to do much better." She glares at the driver in the Mercedes behind them while her head is still out the window. "Just sit back and take a nice relaxing breath." The raven haired girl does as instructed and rolls the window up as she sits back down.
"Danny, we've been sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for two hours. Plus it's at least 95 outside. How do you expect me to be the pinnacle of calm and cool?"
The half ghost sighs. "I've been keeping the temperature in here in the mid 70's. It can't be more then 77 right now and I'm the one driving so I have the most right to bitch." He looks at the line of red lights stretching as far as he could see and knowing it extended far beyond. "And I'm about to: Why the hell are there so many freakin' cars!? Today is Tuesday, and it's some off beat Tuesday. Not like it's the 4th of July." Amity Park's hero gives the car in front a death stare, his eyes momentarily turning neon.
Sam looks at him. "Feel better?"
"Actually yeah. I don't know why but doing this always blows off some of my steam. Maybe because I have to channel enough anger to make them change color." He frowns. "It's a shame you can't do that, I know how much pent up frustration you have sometimes."
Sam shakes her head and smiles at him. "I have my own methods Danny."
"Yeah, like screaming your head off at random morons."
"Hey that does help." The two of them sit there in silence. Or as silent as you are going to get with cars all around beeping, drivers cursing, stereos blaring music, and what not. The minute or relative calmness is broken when the Mercedes behind Danny and Sam beeps and hits them in a sad attempt to make them move. Sam's eye twitches and she puts her hand on the door handle. "I warned them." The goth hisses with murder in her amethyst eyes.
"Don't." His tone makes her stop. It is hard and callous. He sounds about read to snap. "I have had it up to hear with this with damn traffic." With his foot still on the break Danny shifts into 2nd gear. "I'm about to put these powers to good use" is all the warning he gives before flooring the gas pedal just as he turns the red convertible intangible. Sam can't help herself; She laughs as they phased through car upon car grinning like an axe wielding maniac. "How fast we going now?" Looking at the speedometer Danny smirks. "Only 105."

A metal door slams shut. Two high school seniors walk up the walk to the door of FentonWorks. The slightly shorter one takes a key out and opens the door. Both teens go inside. "Hey mom me and Sam are back!"
Maddie steps into the kitchen doorway and raises an eyebrow. "My, you two are home early. 101.5 said there was a 90 mile back up. I wasn't expecting you home for several more hours."
Danny gives his mom one of his famous grins and even Sam gives Maddie a small genuine smile, "We managed to get around it."
