To wake up brings dreams that are more akin to nightmares.

It's hard to wake up sometimes. The rain hushes him to sleep. She used to take him out in the rain. She used to want to spin in the rain on the merry-go-round at the park. She's singing "Spin me Severus, spin me" over and over because he can't stop spinning her. She jumps into his arms and tells him he's the best friend in the whole world, and he believes her because she said it, even though his heart aches for it's not true. She holds him closer when the first clap of thunder is heard, her breasts pressing into his chest and her melody of laughter so close to him. She jumps out of his grip and looks up at the sky while she spins. She stops and looks at him and he can see her clothes clinging to her and her nipples are hard from the cold. "Promise me. Promise me you'll never leave me. Promise me we'll always be friends." He makes it thunder again for her, the rain pounding against them and says "Always!" She jumps back in his arms and they spin around together, their breath in prefect time. She laughs again and he lifts his hands to her face. She breathes deeply as she kisses him, the thunder louder and the rain harder and their tongues spin together because they can't let go and spin themselves. Then she pulls away and brushes it off like it was nothing. 'It wasn't nothing, damnit!' he feels like screaming at her 'I love you, that was my heart, my soul, my body.' But instead he laughs along with her and blames the rain that he's created for her, for the tears that are falling down his face. She can't hear him over the thunder, thunder made in pain, pain for the woman whom he loves, who will never love him. He loves the rain.

Unfortunately, the rain is coming from a leaking pipe in the dungeons and not his undying love. Sighing, Severus aims his wand and the pipe and shouts "Bombarda!" The resulting explosion sends enough water to lull him back to sleep.

Colin: "Should we- should we poke him?"

Ginny: "You do it Creevey!"

Colin: "No! Besides Ginny, you're the one who put Sleeping potion in coffee."

Ginny: "Fine. But does anyone know why he blew up a pipe?"

Colin: "Maybe he wanted to get out of detention a half hour early too?"

Bitchy Ravenclaw: "If we can leave, I find that sound logic."

Ginny: "Dumbledore wouldn't want us to get a cold from all this water."

Colin: "Won't Snape get sick?"

Bitchy Ravenclaw: "He's a big boy. Just make sure he doesn't drown."

Colin: "... You probably shouldn't tap his mouth closed with your shoe."

Bitchy Ravenclaw: "Do you want to give him mouth to mouth than?"

Colin: "I'll get the door."
