Sora was in the laundry room of his small house. It wasn't really like other laundry rooms. It consisted of a small pool of water, a clothes line, and a hand made basket crafted from dried sea weed. He was digging violently thorugh mountans of clothes, rooting around. "Where is that damn sock!?" he shouted. He, after all, was only wearing one.
After about 20 minutes of searching, he grew bored (obviously, he has a greater attention span than you or myself.). He grabbed a random sock from a basket of clean clothes and, somehow, it was the one he had been searching for the entire time. After a breif moment of palm-to-face action, Sora pulled on the sock and began the epic search for his shoes. No wonder he fell asleep on the beach so much. All this digging and searching had him exausted before the day had even began.
Eventually, he found his shoes. One had been on the back of his door, and another, on his window sil, under a book. How he obtained a book on a small island was a wonder to the viewers. Then again, how he obtained clothes, shoes, and a window sil was also a wonder. One could only assume Square Enix jets were dropping crates with parachutes on the island to supply it's population with food. Then again, if that were the case, Sora wouldn't be getting ready to go look for coconuts. What a paradox.
Grabbing his jacket (Now why would you wear a jacket in the summer?! XD), he ran out of his house. He was late. How could he tell he was late? The sun of course! Not like it could blind him or anything. Maybe he just counted the seconds in his head, of every minute, hour, day, and year. Or maybe he just KNEW.
He ran all the way to the raft, were Kairi was waiting for him. She was making a necklace, and it was very pretty indeed.
Sora skidded to a halt. "Where's Riku?" he asked.
Kairi snorted. "Don't tell me you went right past him?! He was waiting to race you!"
Sora palm-faced again and turned to head back, Kairi following.
Making sure to walk, as to save his energy, he eventually reached the blue haired boy. Said boy greeted him with a simple word. "Idiot."
Getting slightly annoyed at his own stupidity, Sora shoved his hands into his pockets. He stood there, kicking lightly at the sand, looking at Riku expectantly.
Riku looked back, confused. The one on one staring match began!
After about a minute, Riku grew bored, and looked away. This angered Sora for some reason. He shouted, "ARE WE GOING TO RACE OR NOT?!" And began to hyperventalate.
Laughing, Riku said, "Of course! don't you know you can talk to people by standing next to them and pressing the action button? About time you figured it out."
This confused Sora, so he dismissed it and got in a ready position to run. Riku followed suit. Both teens were determined.
Kairi, who had been standing there forgotten, said, "On your mark! GET SET! GO!"
They took off, running across the beach. Sora took the ground path, and Riku took the old bridge thingy. Both were neck and neck, minus the elevation difference. Riku pulled ahead... And fell through the boards of the bridge, handing right ontop of Sora. This Forced the younger boy underwater. He opened his eyes. The salt watter stung his eyes... But he saw a figure above him, on it's feet. A hand was extended, as if begging him to take it.
Sora... exhaled. And breathed in water. The pain of the salt in his lungs was so intense that he blacked out.
Sora woke to find himself on the raft... Everything was blurry. He could only see a smear of color. Then he felt a hand. It was slapping him in the face. Another hand was in his palm, squeezing gently.
"Sora, you dumbass!" Riku sounded a but scared, and happy at the same time. "Are you okay?!"
Sora sat up. His vision cleared. He looked around. Kairi was next to him. She had slapped him! Then who's hand was he holding? He looked down at the hand, and folloowed it with his gaze. It was attached to Riku. Riku noticed this and jerked away. "..."
Sora quirked an eyebrow. "Freak."
The End
