Ino doesn't understand it.
She doesn't understand why Sasuke likes Sakura.
She doesn't understand why Shikamaru likes Temari.
And she doesn't freaking understand why she isn't good enough.
She's doesn't cuss, because it's unladylike, she spends hours doing her hair and make-up, she's self-confident.
What more could a guy want?
Not to mention she was smart, maybe not as smart as Hinata or Sakura and definitely not Shikamaru but she is smart.
She can take care of herself and put up a decent fight when nesscary.
So she just doesn't understand why Sakura is so much better then her.

And Sakura will help Ino decide who's best for her and when it doesn't turn out well Ino won't blame her.
Because everyone makes mistakes, everyone but Ino.
Ino, with all of her knowledge, will simply correct her mistake and pick the right boy.
Except it wasn't her mistake, it was Sakura's.
But Ino will forgive her and she'll rule the world with glossed lips and gentle kiss.
Until someone tries to stop her.
There will be people who are going to want to stop her.
And she'll crush them, or send others to crush them.
She'll be the perfect little ruler and she'll unite her kingdom.
And it'll be a perfect little world.
She'll have her prince charming, and she'll make sure Sakura will have hers.
And Hinata will have hers.
But she'll CRUSH Temari if she even looks at Shikamaru.
She'll crush anyone who looks at her men.
That includes Sai and Kiba.
And it'll be a perfect little world with a perfect little ruler and perfect little citizens.
And they'll come to her for advice.
