'Everything felt right' Freddie thought as he sat in the house he and Sam lived in. iCarly was over, Carly got married and so did Spencer. We were both alone, atleast for at the moment. Sam was the best person to be around, he would never forget the good times they have.

"And when she was sad, I was there to dry her tears"

(flashback)
He found her sitting outside her house one day, tears dripping down here face. He waited a second to go near her until those tears turned to sobs. He didn't care what was wrong, he just went over and held her in an embrace. And suprisingly, she just clutched his back and let her tears saok his shirt.

"And when she was happy, so was I, when she loved me."

(flashback)
He came came up to her room just to find her laughing at some iCarly bit. Watching it brought a wave of nostalgia and sadness, but somehow he just couldn't help but laugh too.

"Through the summer and the fall, we had each other, that was all
Just she and I together, like it was meant to be"

We spent so much time together with usually just eachothers company. Sure we missed are old crushes and friends but we had eachother. And that was all we needed

"And when she was lonely, I was there to comfort her
And I knew that she loved me."

I knew sometimes she missed everything the way it was, missed Carly, felt so alone. Though, he would always figure out a way to cheer her up. Well almost. There were a few that some people would insult her, tell her shes weak with nothing left of her life, which really hurt her, but soon enough he'd get her to smile. "Your the best, Benson" said Sam now wiping away the remainder of her tears.

"So the years went by, I stayed the same
And she began to drift away, I was left alone"

Eventually, Sam started to get very distant and she would barely talk to him anymore. At first he thought something was bothering her but he soon relized that she was just growing up. She didn't need him anymore, he felt...alone.

"Still I waited for the day, when she'd say "I will always love you."

Just once ,once he just wanted to hear her tell him how much she needed him, say she'll always love him. Atleast then he could tell if she was lying or not. I know when shes lying.

"Lonely and forgotten, never thought she'd look my way,
She smiled at me and held me, just like she used to do,
Like she loved me, when she loved me"

Then something worst happened. She was being mature and responsible, but it still hurt. She wanted to go live her own life. She didn't want to be a burden on him. As much as he protested, her mind was made up He dropped her off, holding back tears the whole time. His best friend who he's been living with for almost 3 years and now shes leaving. But before she left she tearfully wrapped her arms around him giving him a squeeze." thank you. You've taken such good care of me. I'm really gonna miss you. Ill come back, I promise". she said. "I'm gonna miss you too. I'll visit you soon, Okay." Then she left.

Now,after his last visit,he still can't help but think about when it was just he and Sam all the time, not just once every 6 months ,but all the time.
Thats what it was like when she loved me.
