Dear. Ms. Lorelai Gilmore,
When Rockefeller created his charming small town scenarios, people were walking not riding there bikes. It may seem charming to the rest of the world that Fort Collins is known for biking, I find it to be a pesky pest! Usually people are almost ran over by cars but not I, Today I was walking across the street and a double rider bicycle didn't seem to see me and almost hit me I had to jump out of the way falling to the ground and dropping my papers everywhere and when I reached the other side of the street a little girl with training wheels ran over my foot and smiled… thinking she was cute or something. I'm telling you she wasn't! Her pony tails were really horns.
Its about 1:30pm and soon Senator Obama will be speaking at Colorado State University, aka CSU. Oddly, they have branded the mountain with an "A" instead of a C for CSU; apparently they are one of the top Agricultural colleges around. But why would they brand their mountain with an "A."? I found this cute dinner called the Silver Grill they serve a cup of coffee almost equivalent to Luke's but not quit. Have I mentioned the pecan rolls? Well remember when you had a pretty slim daughter? HAHA. Mom, I miss you. I wish you could be here to mock those evil cyclist with me. I will have to fight them off myself with my withering stare.
The Campaign trail is great! I feel so inspired by all the young people who participating in this year's election. I actually feel like I'm accomplishing something being out here and doing it. It's so much different then just reading and studying about it. "YES WE CAN"! They shout! "ITS TIME FOR CHANGE" I'm not sure if he can really provide change or not that's what almost every politician promises but it seems to be a hit with the "Y" generation.
Enough about the campaign trail. I'm so glad you and Luke are doing so well. Have you found the ring yet? Any day now, right? I can't believe he asked Sookie what size your finger is and what kind of ring you like. Of course she's going to tell you. Remember he likes to hide things in the floor board under his chair, I would check there!
Well, I see a that the generation "Y" cohort is now gathering, its getting closer to his speech. I have to run. Just two more weeks and I'll be home!
FYI-Sardine girl has now switched to Spam. Go ahead start making cracks about my bus seat partner.
Love, Thelma.
