She sucked into the oven, despite the blistering heat it was producing, with a smile upon her face. Out came a cake, being held with two oven-mitt covered hands. And she kicked up the oven door with a boot clad foot.

She happily hummed to herself, something she found herself doing whenever she cooked. She just felt so at home, so at peace. She placed the circular pan onto a hot pad, and stripped her hands from the mitts. Her apron was pretty clean, save for a few flour splashes here and there. And the dab of the white powder on her nose, a staple for any true baker. A badge to show their perfection in the field.

She dances her way over to her moving bowl, letting the cake cool, she figured she'd finish making the frosting. There wasn't actually any special reason for this cake other than the fact that she simply felt like baking. She'd probably box it up and give it to a Cream and Vanilla. Who'd probably insist upon taking it somewhere it could actually be used. Per se... A homeless shelter. Something she found she did more often than she thought about. But when something is out of the sheer goodness in your heart, you don't rely think about rewards or how many times you've done it.

She simply wanted everyone to be happy. She often baked or cooked for Team Sonic. She had perfected her chili recipe just for that special blue hedgehog. He was always ecstatic to find out Amy had dropped off a steaming plate of chili dogs just for him. Or at least, that's what Tails told her. She never stuck around to watch him eat it, besides, she would usually be on her way to make sure that echidna hadn't skipped out on lunch to watch the Master Emerald. She remembered many conversations with him on how he should take better care of his body, rather than starving himself just to watch the gem, no matter how precious the gem was. It was not worth him neglecting his stomach. And despite how stubborn he was, she knew he was always grateful for a sandwich or two.

And that fox... He often did the same thing as Knuckles. Neglecting a rumbly tummy for some extra features on his prized plane. She had to admit, all the hard work made it excellent for battle, but she'd much rather a healthy fox. She often found him lethargic too, having been working late into the night. Sometimes she'd call him and insist he go to bed. You never knew exactly when Eggman would attack. She had to make sure all three boys were fed and ready for battle.

She hadn't realized that she let her thoughts get the best of her. And quickly put the mixed frosting down on the counter. Releasing the cake from the spring-form pan, and placing it on a cake board. Then, she happily went on frosting the cake.

The world really underestimated the work this girl did, but at the end of the day, she didn't mind. She wasn't looking for recognition or anything. She just wanted to see people happy.

Everyone in the group admired her strong sense of optimism. She always found the silver lining in a situation. A blue hedgehog in particular also admired her ability to often talk an enemy out of being an enemy. She had done it with Shadow. He didn't even know how she did it. She just seemed to have a way with words, and such innocence that nobody could resist her charm.

And that's what he thought about as he stood at her door. He could hear the happy humming of the girl within the house, and smiled nervously, raising his fist to rap upon the wooden door.

He heard a stumble, and then some mumbling. He found it oddly endearing how she never used profanity, even in appropriate situations.

The door swung open, and he met the pleasantly surprised face of the pink hedgehog.

Something about her... Was just so...

Saccharine.
