Madeline ran on the featherweight ground of the heavens, her gold Spartan sandals leaving footprints in the clouds along the way. Her platinum, glowing blonde hair flowed behind her in the pigtails she put it in, decorated with white silky ribbon. Her misty violet eyes frantically searched for other angels, looking left to right. The flowing white dress she wore stopped below her knees, getting stuck between her legs as she tried to hurry. And to top it off, a halo floated just above the top of her head. Today was the day they were letting in new angels, and Madeline was almost late for the ceremony. Eventually she pushed her way to the front of the group, just near the edge of the gate where transition from the unknown to the Holy Land happened. Maybe today was the day she'd finally find someone she knew. Madeline had died rather young, and rather alone. She had a brother, a few friends, and no lover. And that left her to be one of the most innocent angels in Heaven. But just as Madeline settled into her spot in the crowd, of course, as usual, someone who was being rather obnoxious and pushing their way through had managed to completely not notice her and nudged Madeline just right in the back, causing her to tumble straight through the gate and through the clouds. She could hear the screams and voices of distress as she tumbled towards the Earth. She hid her face in her arms, preparing for the impact that was sure to happen. But it never did. It was just a bright flash of light, and then she could feel the ground beneath her. She unveiled her face to find herself in the dark of outside, in the middle of an empty field, and a large crater beneath her. Not to mention the large crater like trail that marked her trip to the ground. She sighed in relief, right, angels can't feel pain. She weakly stood up, a faint glow encasing her in the dark, her halo glowing the brightest and no doubt the source of the light. She looked around, wrapping her arms around herself in nervousness. She gasped as she heard a voice not too far, and saw a faint light from either a lamp or flashlight. She glanced around for any sort of hiding, but alas, she was in a clearing with nothing in sight. So she stood frozen in fear, waiting for whatever should approach her.
Gilbert was an ordinary Prussian , yes Prussian man. He saw a blinding light and then a ... thing. He picked up a stick and approached it cautisly, not wanting what ever it was to attack him. Seeing it was a girl, a cute one too, he dropped his sticky friend and extended his hand. " Hallo, are you okay?"
Cautious of the man kind of this era, she backed up away from his hand. Even if it was for help, she's heard stories...And she didn't want to trust anyone just yet. She slowly shook her head in answer to his question. She was lost, and scared. Of course she wasn't okay. Madeline watched him carefully, fear in her eyes.
Gilbert watched as the small girl backed away in fright. " Cmon I won't hurt you. Are you lost? Did you loose your parents? Me and my awesomeness shall help you!" Gilbert prayed that that last part didn't make him sound creey. The last thing he needed was Ludwig to come bail him out of jail.
Madaline reached out and took Gilbirts arm, Knowing this was her soulmate, for ever and ever
