Sunrise Sparkle is an average pegasus filly in Canterlot. Her mom, Star Shine, works in the palace in Canterlot as an astronomer in the Astronomy Tower. This is 500 years later and Princess Twilight Sparkle rules Equestria. All of the other characters in the series are gone.

My little pony: The 7th Element

Chapter 1:

Sunrise Sparkle rolled over in her bed. She looked out her window to the rising sun, it was making the sky glow pink and gold. She always loved the idea of night and day time. Her mother was an astronomer, and told her about the stars ever since she was very young. She didn't think that was why she had a love for it. She felt that she had a special connection to them from birth. She just couldn't explain it though.

"Sunrise! We need to leave so I won't be late!" Her mother, Star Shine, called from downstairs. She jumped up and combed her beautiful blue and pink mane. She looked at herself in her vanity, she fluttered her light blue wings and twirled around. She then caught sight of her bare flank. "I'm gonna be a blank flank forever."

She grabbed her saddle bag and headed down the stairs. She went to the kitchen table and sat facing her mother. She sat for a while, and, unlike her usual self, said nothing. Star Shine noticed this, "What's wrong honey?" Sunrise Sparkle looked up, "When am I going to get my cutie mark?! I'm the ONLY filly in Canterlot that doesn't have her cutie mark yet!" She complained.

Star Shine shook her head. "Sunrise, I don't know when your cutie mark will come. You just have to discover your true talent. The time will come someday, and when it does, then great, but you can't get keep getting so upset over it."

"I guess you're right Mom." Sunrise Sparkle replied. She smiled and decided not to worry about it. Star Shine winked her bright yellow eye at her,"That's my girl, now come on or I'll be late."
