The Month of May
May, she is a typical 18-year-old girl, she's trying her best working hard at school and work. If you were to look at her passing by you wouldn't expect anything abnormal about her. She is about five feet eight inches tall, she has a medium body build, her hazel eyes shine like the night sky, and her hair, and she had long brown curly hair. But these features could only be seen if you had a pure heart, you see in this world things are a little different...
In this world what you feel is what you see; so if your depressed, then the world is grey. If you are happy then the world is bright and beautiful. Another thing about this world is that every one person has a gift, depending on who you are as a person the special ability differs.
May is an orphan, her mom (Deborah) died giving birth to her, so she was left with her dad (Nigel). But one day when he was driving to Elementary school to pick her up, there was a car accident and he died on impact. But they both loved May more than life itself, even at a young age she knew that. All May has left of her parents was a heart-shaped locket necklace, to this day May hasn't seen anything shine brighter. It's what her dad gave to her mom before she died. In the locket, on one side was a picture of Deborah, and on the other was Nigel, they looked so happy. Now we skip ahead to the present; her at age 18.
