Red hair flown through the snow filled, cold air, the young girl hugged her father's legs, trying to stay warm. "Is mommy coming back yet? Is she?" She asked, eager to know that Summer was getting home since she left.

The older man just frowned at her, trying to get his words out "Soon...Ruby...soon..." He ruffled her hair and went to his room.

"Daddy sounded sad, maybe me and Yang can cheer him up!" She said to herself and ran towards her older sister's room, past the Christmas tree, which wasn't even decorated, as Ruby was the only one who believed in Santa. "Yang Yang Yang!" She yelled through the locked door.

"Ruby, come in...we need to talk!" The older Blonde said, quieter than usual what was up with Yang? Is she okay? "Ruby...I have no words to say but..." Her eyes swelled up into tears and she began to cry. Drip, drip, drip.

"Why are you crying, sis? Is mommy coming home?" She had asked reassuringly. Mommy's a hero! Heroes never lose!

"Ruby...mom's gone..." Yang barely got that out of her mouth, her voice was just a small whisper, loud enough for Ruby to hear.

Mom's...

Gone...

What? What does my sister mean?! Mommy promised us!

"YOU'RE LYING!" Ruby shot up, tears exploded off her face like a waterfall. She was upset, sad, angry, all of these balled up into one huge depressive emotion. "MOMMY WILL COME BACK! SHE SAID HEROES ALWAYS COME BACK!" She screeched at her sister.

"NOT ALL MOMMIES COME BACK RUBY!" Yang shouted, she saw the face Ruby make after she made the putrid, horrible retort she had spewed of anger.

"W-What...?" Ruby said quietly, she faced the other direction and ran off, out of the house, trying to get away from it all.

"RUBY!" Yang ran after her baby sister, being protective. "RUBY! COME BACK!" She almost lost sight of her younger sibling.

"NOT UNTIL MOMMY COMES BACK!" She screamed back at her blonde haired sister. "MOMMY WILL COME BACK!"

Yang tackled her sister to the floor, trying to get the truth to her head. "RUBY LISTEN TO ME! MOMMY ISN'T COMING BACK!" Tears fell from her face, Ruby realized that her sister wasn't lying.

"Mommy's...gone...?" Her voice broke by then and she cried hard into her sister's chest "MOMMY! MOMMY! MOMMY!" She screamed, clutching onto her sister's chest as a baby would. "I MISS MOMMY!"

Yang stood up and carried her crying sister to their house, she could barely see as hot tears fell down her face. "Dad?" She carried Ruby into their dad's room. "Dad...Ruby knows..." She said, a depressing, monotone voice spouted from the small girl.

"Oh...she does..." Taiyang said, his voice more saddening than when he spoke to Ruby.

"Daddy..." Ruby piped up, looking at him "We can get mommy back! I know we can!" The happy look in her eyes, not letting 'mommy's gone' get to her. "I love mommy and mommy loves me! That'll bring mommy back!" Her silver eyes glowed with her smile.

Taiyang and Yang sighed, not letting the young 6-year old notice. "Yes, Ruby, we WILL get mommy back. Have you made your Christmas list yet?" He tried to smile at her. /its not december yet but I made one all by myself!/

"RIGHT HERE!" She beamed, looking at him, she opened it up and gave it to him.

It said

"Helo, Santa Claws

I am Ruby yur bigest fan

Bring momy home

Momy promis to come home

Santa can bring momy home rite?

Momy is nice to me and dady and Yeng

Ples bring momy home

Luv Ruby"

Taiyang and Yang froze, their eyes full of even more tears, Ruby was confused as to what they were sad about, it's just a list! But, she'll never know as she was so young.
