This is an alternate ending of Book 1, based off the events in book 1, when our beloved Mikey died at Matt's hands. Short, but angsty.

Robina walked along the wet road, heading towards the Battleon Cemetary, located behind the Gaurdian Tower. Ever since it happened, Robina hasn't spoken a word to anyone. It's been five years since that day and yet Robina still does not speak. She was tramatized, you could say. She loved him.
As she rounded the corner, she saw a figure standing in front of a grave. It was Dio. Robina wasn't surprised though. Every week, she saw him, looming over his grave, always regretting that he wasn't there. Although Dio had told Drifter it wasn't his fault, he secretly wished it was, just so he could've killed someone that day. Even his killer hasn't been seen since then. Dio turned around and noticed Robina, standing a short distance away. He nodded to her and walked off, into the rain, leaving behind only a small gift at the grave. Robina walked up to the marker and crouched down, tracing her finger along the carved tombstone, always never believing that he was gone. She read the words, as she did everyday.
It read:
Here lies the brave Guardian-
Mikey Grandvale
Born- Jan. 27, 163 RL
Died- Dec. 21, 179 RL
At the young age of 16.
Robina read the small momento, carved by Eliac and everyone else. She always shed a tear whenever she read it:
To a friend, whom we all loved dearly. You will be missed.
Robina cried softly into her hands. She sat down in front of the grave, as she did everyday, rain or shine, and wept. As she wept, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up to see Artix, giving her a small smile. Robina wiped the tears from her face and Artix faced the tombstone. He uttered only one phrase before walking off, "I blame myself for this."
Robina looked back at the grave, tears streaks on her cheeks. She always cried everytime she went here. She didn't care though. She just wanted to see him once more, hear his laughter as he joked around with Drifter, hear him making fun of Kinshra and having him shout back a stern 'Hey!', and listen to his voice, which would always give her comfort. Alas, she knew it was impossible.
He was gone, as Death had taken him before she could help him, just one last time, even if he didn't survive. She just wanted the chance to help. A breeze blew by and Robina shivered. She wrapped the black cloak around her tightly, trying to keep warm. As she walked off, she looked back, and, for the first time in years, uttered one last whisper, "I love you."

Mikey: Why did you kill me?
It's just a one-shot. Calm down.
Mikey: This reminds me of an Ozzy Osbourne song.
Not you too! I don't even listen to Ozzy. :(
Mikey: (sigh) Read and review.
