(At the school)
Penn peeked from the corner and saw Sashi opening her locker, ready to start yet another dreaded day of school. It was long before the Valentine dance, but Penn still felt like he should ask Sashi out, only for his own doubt to get in the way...
"Something wrong, Zero?"
The sudden question made Penn jump in fear, and he turned around to see it was simply Rippen, calmly sipping his coffee. "I'm thinking whether or not I should ask Sashi out for the Valentine dance. I know we're enemies, but what do you think?"
"As someone who's experimented unrequited crushes, I'll give you a simple answer: the longer you stall, the harder it will get."
This only confused the guy.
"Just go ahead and ask her out."
Hearing him say that, the boy took a deep breath, walked... Only to get beaten up as a result. He then returned to Rippen, who was visibly annoyed at the girl's response. "She said no... And then some."
"Come with me Penn, let's see if we can find you another girl. And along the way, we'll let Larry know about this."
Rippen brushed Penn's hair and helped him walk away as the two started to look for another girl.
