Hi Everyone! And Welcome to my little world!! This is my first crack at Harry Potter fiction! So I suppose that it would be appropriate if I lay down the limits of this world.
First off! This is somewhat of an AU. Mainly about Snape. Why him? Cause I kind of picked up a small bit of sympathy for him while reading Order of the Phoenix. (FYI: I don't really care for the movies because it leaves out some bits of important information. Kind of like the first movie, where when he leaves Hermione and Ron at the Wizard Chess challenge, when in the book she and Harry move on to the potions challenge.) So I decided, hey! What if besides Lily, he fell for someone else only to lead to much more heartbreak later on?
Second, the person who shall be playing the second love interest, will be an OC that I have created myself.
Some reason or another, I can't think of any other person in the H.P universe to match what I had in mind.
Third! There will be times when this fan fiction will hop through time. But you will be notified by an A/N above the headings of the chapter.
Lastly! I don't own any of the characters, minus Urisia Hexodes. They belong to J.K - san.
So lets begin!!!
Prologue
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He hated parties.
Absolutely loathed them.
Yet here he was, leaning against the wall, a goblet of red wine in hand, trussed up like a penguin, watching couples spin around the dance floor, the skirts of multicolored dresses billowing about, hiding the floors with their writhing. The sound of the orchestra from the balcony was flowing with vibrancy, an upbeat sort of melody.
Malfloy knew what he was doing when throwing a party.
Speaking of which, he was striding about, his wife, Narcassica, making small talk about who knows what with various guests and groups. She looked beautiful. But she wasn't the most beautiful whom he had ever seen. No….No one could ever be so beautiful as…
But they were lost to him now.
One buried six feet under for her sacrifice, no matter how much pleading he had done to have her spared.
The other, somewhere far beyond his grasp. A gem he had cast away, wishing to submerge in the memory of one already given to another.
"Oh my!! Uri!! Look at you!! Your glowing! How long has it been?!" Blinking out of his thoughts, his eyes turn to the rather ecstatic hostess, flowing in pure green, hugging upon another figure donned in astonishing silver.
"Sissy, its been a long time. I've been rather well." The women pull apart, smiles running rampant. Blond hair, piled atop the one dubbed Uri, cascading in tight luxurious curls to her mid back, outshining even the glistening silver dress of the Victorian age with its luster. "How has my cousin been treating you? Well I hope?"
A grumble, unheard from his ears by the male next to his wife sends both females into laughter, though one more graceful than the other. Music if he could call it any other thing. One he had not heard for centuries it felt.
"Your funny Sevvy…" Sparkling green eyes glisten with mirth, giving them a new definition.
He could remember the day they first met. A hurtful day. But also the start of something he couldn't finish.
"Severus! There you are! I thought I saw you brooding over there!"
