"It would have never worked out. I am thirteen hundred years older than you."

Susan froze as she turned to leave Narnia. "Wait!" she cried, stopping Peter, Edmund, and Lucy in their tracks. She ran to the great Lion, Aslan, and dropped to her knees, desperate and on the verge of tears.

"Dear Queen. I assume something is wrong," he said knowingly.

"Well, actually, you see..." she tried, then started weeping. "Yes. Please? Could Caspian come? Please?"

"I believe," started Aslan, "That is Caspian's decision." He looked at Caspian.

Caspian looked at Aslan, then turned his gaze upon Susan, who started talking quickly.

"You're about Peter's age. Yo could enroll in school, a-and take classes a-and stay with us!" she said, standing and looking at him.

Caspian was so surprised at this outburst from Susan, that he backed up a little bit.

Susan was surprised at herself, also, and added as an afterthought, "Please?"

Edmund and Lucy exchanged humored glances at their older sister going mad, while Peter looked unsure of her idea.

Caspian turned to look and the Tamarins. His eyes fell on his teacher. His teacher gave a small nod and smiled.

"I want my teacher to tak over for me," he said, smiling widely.

Susan's shock could be seen before her mind had registered his words. She glanced at her siblings to see Lucy grinning madly, Edmund shaking his head at her face, and Peter's unreadable expression.

For a moment, all stood still with Peter's gaze, then he broke into a smile, saying, "Well go on then!"

Susan smiled at him, then shifted her gaze to Caspian. She ran and launched herself onto him, pulling his lips to hers once again. She gently pulled back and hugged him tightly.

They all would stay a night or so longer, then they would trek off into a new world, introducing Caspian to Earth. But what would happen?
