Prologue: I need you more than ever...

"Star light... star bright, first star that I see tonight... Wish I may, wish I might, have the wish, I wish tonight...," a sigh escaped her lips. The silly little wishing upon the first star had been a ritual for some time now. "I wish... I wish I wouldn't feel alone anymore...." . Tears escaped her eyes, but she was quick to wipe them off.
The wind blew and several cherry blossoms fell upon her. Sitting under her favorite tree, she continued to look out to the sky as thought's and memories ran through her head. Hours passed and still she had not moved from the exact same spot. Finally her thought's overwhelmed her and she began crying. Even though it was 3 AM, she tried to sustain her cry's.
"Rei...Rei, why are you crying?" a soft deep voice came from behind her.
"Ojiisan... it's, it's nothing... I was just thinking, and I guess my thought's got carried away," she tried to put on a smile to show him she was fine.
Her grandfather wiped her tear's away and gave her a kiss on her forehead, "Rei, it's okay to cry. We all have feelings my child, we can't be heartless."
Rei nodded her head and gave him a kiss on the cheek, he was the only person who she wouldn't argue with about the subject. "Thank you ojiisan, let's get to bed now," she stood up and they both walked towards the temple. "Stop creeping around though! You would have scared me if I wasn't so used to you!"
Grandpa gave a huge sheepish smile, "I did it out of love, I worry about you.... and I thought you'd snuck off!"
"Oh ojiisan! How could you even think that!" Rei laughed as they entered the temple, "Good night ojiisan, arigatou."
They both walked their separate ways, as Rei laid in bed, she couldn't help but think about her wish. Her grandpa was everything to her, but what would happen when he died, she would be alone, forever. She looked over to a frame in her room that contained the smiling face of her fellow senshi, she knew they were there for her, but it wasn't the same. She would never intervene in their lives', their happiness. A few tear's glided down her cheeks as she fell asleep.
Inside his own room, grandpa sat and thought about his granddaughter. He knew she felt lonely, and he could sense how deep her hurt was. Although he knew he had several years ahead of him, he knew it was time for Rei to venture out and find love. Someone who would always be there for her once he no longer could be. He exited his room and walked down the hall into another room. He sat to meditate, tonight he would put his plan into action. After several minute's he began a spell. Rei would begin her journey tomorrow, he wasn't sure where it would lead her, but he knew she would find what she needed. She would be in charge of her fate, it would all depend on her.
