What's a crazy girl to do?
When she's fallen in love…
Does she look down to her shoe?
Or somewhere high up above?
Should she ignore the pound of her heart?
Should she forget about his presence?
Can she stay, or must she dart?
Can she leave and forget his essence?
They became friends, and then much more.
Opposites they were, for good or bad,
Practicing together, they would become sore.
But one day after practice he made her so sad,
When he broke her heart and told her
To try to fake a happy smile.
She did as told with the response "yes sir".
But even 2 months later her thoughts of him were vile.
On the field and with her friends she became someone new
By focusing on the marching band
She became herself but stronger. She did it with style too.
One day he let out his hand.
"Be friends again, please dear".
Of course we can, she would reply.
Because with him and her band friends, she had nothing to fear.
