Erika: Yeah some inspiration just hit me out of nowhere. This is a Hisoka/Tsuzuki song fic…thingy. It's Hisoka's POV right after Muraki spirits Tsuzuki away and before they actually go to retrieve him.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN THIS SONG NOR DO I OWN YAMI NO MATSUEI (aka Descendants of Darkness).

"TSUZUKI!!!!" Hisoka screamed at the sky, watching in horror as Muraki and Tsuzuki disappeared in a curtain of white feathers.

'He's gone.'

Hisoka woke up, gasping, from the dream. It had only been a few hours since Tsuzuki had been spirited away by Muraki. Holding his knees against his chest Hisoka started to sob….

I always needed time on my own
I never thought I'd need you there when I cry
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie
Is made up on your side

When you walk away
I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it okay
I miss you

Hisoka stood up and walked into the office. He approached Tsuzuki's cubicle, expecting to see Tsuzuki there, snoring away.

With a stabbing pang of loneliness Hisoka stared at the empty seat. Walking towards it slowly he noticed that one of Tsuzuki's spare trench coats was hanging on the back of the chair. Hisoka picked it up and brought it to his nose, breathing in, getting the faintest whiff of Tsuzuki's scent.

Starting to cry again Hisoka looked around the room, remembering all those times he'd spent with Tsuzuki. Sure he had acted annoyed, but really, he found Tsuzuki's antics quite adorable.

But he could never bring himself to say it…

I never felt this way before
Everything that I do
Reminds me of you
And the clothes you left
They lie on the floor
And they smell just like you
I love the things that you do

When you walk away
I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through the day
And make it okay
I miss you

Watari, Hisoka, and the Chief walked along the bridge in Kyoto, each lost in their own thoughts. Hisoka couldn't stop thinking of Tsuzuki. He wanted him back. Now.

'I love you Tsuzuki.' Hisoka held back a sob, 'I want you back with me. Please. I can't imagine my life without you…'

We were made for each other
Out here forever
I know we were
Yeah Yeah

All I ever wanted was for you to know
Everything I do I give my heart and soul
I can hardly breathe I need to feel you here with me
Yeah

It was only a few more minutes until Tatsumi, Hisoka, and Watari set out to get Tsuzuki back from Muraki. Hisoka was sitting in Tsuzuki's chair, clutching the trench coat to his chest. Hisoka was plotting it all in his mind, how he would get inside wherever Tsuzuki was being held prisoner, how he would kill Muraki, and save Tsuzuki. Then he would tell Tsuzuki how much he loved him. How he couldn't stand to live without him.

'I need you Tsuzuki…' Hisoka thought, tears starting to pour down his face, 'I need you so much…'

He would save Tsuzuki. He had to.

"Hisoka." Hisoka glanced up at Watari. "It's time."

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too
And when you're gone
The words I need to hear will always get me through the day
And make it okay
I miss you
