Dean Winchester stretched his arms over his head and sighed, taking his wallet out of his back pocket as he walked into the motel office. His little brother, Sam, followed soon after dumping the bags into the back of his '67 Chevy Impala. He smiled at the girl behind the register and she returned the smile.
"Checking out?" She asked and he nodded, giving her one of his many fake credit cards. She rang it up, waited, and gave it back to him with a smile. She was pretty, he would give her that, but she didn't talk a lot and he hated that. But he could get used to it cause they spent an awful lot of time together while he and Sam were there working on a job. He leaned on the counter and smiled at her.
"So it's just you right?" She nodded and Sam rolled his eyes towards the ceiling.
"Dean…we do have to get going you know." Dean held up a finger and looked back at her. Her name was stuck in his head and he couldn't remember it exactly. Then it hit him.
"So you wanna get outta here Cassie?" She smiled again and leaned towards him. She touched his arm and he smiled again, his eyes darting to her hand back to her eyes.
"Are you trying to get me to leave with you Mr. Dean?" He chuckled but nodded.
"Is it working?" She bit her bottom lip and smiled.
"Yeah." He smirked and she grabbed her jacket, climbing over the counter and shutting the office door before following Dean to his car. When she saw it, she let out a low whistle and he smiled. His brother grabbed his jacket sleeve before he could get in the car and pulled him away.
"Dean…we have a job to do. You can't bring her with us." Dean looked over his shoulder at Cassie and shrugged to his brother, pulling away. "She doesn't even know you're last name yet."
"And I'm gonna fix that soon enough." But actually he didn't know what he was going to do about that little piece of information he had withheld from her. Because in all actuality, the last name she knew was the false one he used. He was on the run from the Federal Agents because a shape-shifter had decided to use his face to commit a series of murders all along the west Coast.
"Are you guys coming or am I wasting my time with this car?" Cassie crossed her arms and looked at the 2 brothers. They were the weirdest brothers she had ever met but that Dean… She smiled and laughed. He stuck on her mind like a briar to a sweater. He was different from the other boys in this little town that she lived in and she wasn't about to let him go that easily.
"We're coming!" Dean looked at his brother with pleading eyes and Sam sighed before nodding.
"But I just know something bad will come of her going with us." Dean chuckled and as Cassie got into the front seat, looked over the hood at Sam and smiled again.
"Has anybody ever told you that you worry too much?" Sam finally smiled and got into the car, slamming the door as Dean winced.
"Yeah. You do, about 4 times a day." Dean started the car up and smirked, looking at Cassie then at his brother.
"Then this would be the fifth time. Stop worrying so damn much." He put the shifter down to R, back them out before putting it in D and shooting off towards the freeway to New York.
