Another request from tate310, this time it's "Scaredy Engines" from Season 6. Enjoy and comment.
The engines on the Island of Sodor always look forward to Halloween. They enjoy Sir Topham Hatt' firework display, the children dressing up to go trick or treating for candy, and the carved pumpkins. They also love Edward's spooky stories.
"They say that on Halloween, the ghost engine returns looking for his lost whistle."
"Scary!" said the engines.
Later on, Sir Topham Hatt arrived.
"Thomas, Percy and Duck. I have an important job for you. You are to collect some scrap from the smelters yard tonight."
"On Halloween?" asked Percy.
"Don't worry. You'll be back in time for the fireworks."
"He's a scaredy engine!" teased Thomas.
"I am not!" called Percy.
At the smelters, all Percy could think about was Edward's ghost engine. Thomas knew Percy was scared, so he teased him even more.
"What's that up there?" Thomas squeaked.
"It's just a twisted piece of scrap." Percy said nervously.
Thomas was having more fun than ever.
"Be careful. The ghost engine is after you!"
"There's no such thing as ghosts!" snapped Percy.
Duck felt sorry for Percy.
"Nobody's brave all the time." he told Percy kindly.
"But I'm not a scaredy engine!" Percy insisted.
The job was nearly complete.
"Well done!" the yard manager said. "Now I'll need one engine to finish up."
Duck wanted to pay Thomas back for teasing him.
"I'm sure Thomas wouldn't mind doing it!"
"Of course not! I'm not a scaredy engine!"
Duck laughed and laughed.
"Thomas isn't as brave as he makes out!" he chuckled as he and Percy set off.
When Thomas was by himself, every sound and every shadow was spooky. He suddenly felt very scared.
"There's no such things as ghosts!" he said nervously.
Thomas was so busy looking for ghosts, that he didn't watch where he was going! The chains felt like ghost fingers.
"Something's got me!"
Just then, Thomas accidentally set off an old steam whistle.
"GHOST WHISTLE!" screamed Thomas as he raced away as fast as he could.
"The ghost engine is after me!"
Meanwhile, Duck and Percy were waiting for Thomas.
"It was naughty of Thomas to tease you Percy" said Duck.
"He was only playing." said Percy.
Just then, Thomas wheeshed by.
"THE GHOST ENGINE IS AFTER ME!"
Duck went to join the other engines for the fireworks, while Percy went off to find Thomas.
Thomas arrived back at the shed frightened. Percy pulled in a few minutes later.,
"I'm sorry I teased you Percy." Thomas said. "Duck was right. We all feel scared sometimes!"
"And we all need to say sorry sometimes." said his friend. "Come on. Let's watch the fireworks together!"
And that's exactly what they did.
