Introducing Isabella – Chapter 1

Meeting a Lion

The Abyss was a dark and lonely place, full of weird toys floating everywhere. It was dim with light, and when you walk it feels like you're stepping in a shallow river. I didn't understand a thing that just happened, so I just went with it. Why was I here again?

Oh right.

"Gil…" It made me sad just to say his name aloud. "Ugh, I want out of here!" I screamed out, and then kicked some pebble I saw on the floor. "Ouch!" I had noticed how far that pebble went when I heard that.

I didn't think anyone was here, other than me of course.

I followed the whining and came upon a boy— a cute one at that —wearing the same school uniform I wore every day, until today.

"Hey kid," I said. "Sorry about the pebble. I didn't know anyone else was here." I gave a cute but awkward looking smile. I don't think he went for it though.

"Yeah, you better be sorry!" He said, and then walked away with a limp.

It pissed me off but turned me on at the same time. My weird smile faded.

"Hey kid! You don't have to act like a jerk about it," I yelled out. "Do I have to aim where I kick my pebbles or something?"

Boy, did that come out wrong.

He turned to face me and said "Tch, was that supposed to be funny? And that weird smile of yours, was that supposed to make me flush? You're just a hot mess, aren't ya'?" He gave a sly smile, turned back around and walked with that cute limp of his.

My signature, ever-so-attractive pout came into play, and I started talking with my big mouth again.

"W-Well, do you mind telling me how to get out of this place? I want to go home," That totally caught his attention, but not in the way you would think.

He faced me again and started walking in my direction. "Listen girl—" He was cut off by some loud screaming.

We both turned to face the direction of the noise, and based on the look of his face, it was bad news.

But I could just tell by looking at the huge ass monster that we were in for trouble.
