Saving It

The desert sky was loitered with stars and the night was slightly breezy but the weather surprisingly was not cold.

It would have been a great night out here were it not for the sounds of screaming as if someone was getting murdered.

"Augh! This hurts so-" She is trying to breathe and focus on just doing that as another wave of pain washes through her. She going to pass out. Die even. At least that is what she is fearing.

"Angel mojo, use it please. Give me something." Her voice lowered towards the end as she said the words.

"Please m-make it stop.." She broke her speech and she tried even harder than before to even out her breathing as the contractions hit faster.

Jackie and Mina, two female nurses as well as Becky's friends were working diligently at trying to make her a bit more comfortable and less stressed.

A lot of weird stuff had happened since meeting her and even though they weren't going to leave her here they just wanted to go home and sleep or shower. Maybe they'd fall asleep in the shower.

You know multitasking. However, they had work to be doing first.

The super boss 'Angel of the Lord' that looked suspiciously like a tax accountant, stared at her as he quietly but courteously said.

"Becky, you called upon me to help you. Now breathe. This child is a special case, a unique specimen…"

"Human baby." His soul is so bright. Just like his uncle's and Sam's.

"He was born from hunters after all, so he will be a tough one. If I interfere with his birth in any other way, the whole universe will know of our location. I will not let them find you nor will I put you at risk. All I can do, is ease your pain somewhat…Sorry."

"Cas h-" Becky was trying to hold back another scream of pain. "W- He's..Sam is-isn't…" She cut herself off as tears and sweat started streaming down her face, which she thought was disgusting but it's not like she could stop it.

Then she took a deep breath or tried to then spoke again, her voice was low and she was kinda speaking gibberish.

"I mean he is but it, he wasn't…I'd...didn't...would never have, please understand." More anguish filled screams filled the abandoned desert as the stars gleamed brightly and she can't bring herself to talk much less explain anything clearer than he has already.

At least not now.

The angel looked into her eyes as he spoke quietly but she heard every word.

"I was made aware...Lucifer…It matters not to me. I will protect you and your child, not only because he is a Winchester…He, and you both are in grave danger. Once my vessel is destroyed...I will be of service to you, for as long as I am able."

"Both..Both my baby and I will be in danger?! W-we..." Her voice gave out and she shut her eyes as she tried to concentrate.

He looked at her and his voice was grave as he said. "You will be hunted by Angels and demons alike."

Mina looked up from her task and her voice was curious as she asked. "Wait also by others right? Monsters, vampire, ghosts, wolves, shifters?"

Cas kept his eyes locked on Becky as he answered her question. "And Leviathan."

Jackie knew, it wasn't the time for it but she couldn't help the glee or excitement in her voice from showing as she said. "I know and am aware that this isn't the time but want to meet a 'Jefferson starship' so bad."

Becky screamed the words. "Son of a bitch!" But Jackie knew they weren't aimed at her.

"Wait, Jack why are they called that? Aren't they rifts/vamp. hybrids?" As Mina asked the question she got a clean towel and dipped it in hot water to wipe the sweat off Becky's face.

The angel of the lord, answered for her. "Because...they're all horrible. And hard to kill...I was there when Dean named them in the end he thought it was a great name, fitting."

"Becky, keep pushing he's almost out." Jackie was trying to coax Becky into focusing on the task.

"Can't you give me morphine or I don't know drugs?!" They were in the middle of the New Mexico desert and nobody brought drugs with them.

This isn't Coachella.

"It's too late for epidural, his head is crowning. Sorry." Mina was wiping off Becky's sweaty face as she said the words quietly.

Becky moaned in pain as she said the words."It feels like, I just got run over by a train or m-maybe a stampede of huge zoo animals."

The blonde nurse looked away from Becky asked. "Cas could you bring more towels? I just need one or two to clean up the placenta once it's out."

"Here you go." Cas snapped his fingers, nine towels appeared and he stabbed Becky's neck with a needle.

She saw the towels and said. "Thank you." Then she saw what the angel had done and questioned him cautiously. "Wait Cas, what was that?"

He broke the needle with his hand and his voice was calm as he stood up then said. "Demerol. I will heal both, Becky and the baby once we leave."

"Okay. Fine. Becky, one last push and we're done." She's not used to this or him and his angel crap, kill. Whatever it's called she just hopes it works out well once the baby's umbilical cord is cut because she doesn't want them to risk infection.

"Becks, Becky…B-" The world around Becky was spinning and going black quickly.

"Shit, Jackie! I need-" Mina cut herself off as she shut up and listened. A baby's cry could be heard throughout the space around them.

"...she passed out."

Jackie rushed over and cleaned at the mess around her, while Mina checked up on Becky. "Cas, we are kind of busy at the moment. You want to do the honors and cut the umbilical cord?"

"Yes of course. Don't worry, she is not dead. Just tired and having breathing issues. Here, let me wake her up and ask for permission."

Cas tapped Becky's shoulder gently and that woke her up. "Becky, can I?" He showed her the baby and she smiled then nodded as she cried but said.

"Yes but could you please zap us somewhere? Nice or you know what, anywhere else it doesn't matter."

Mina nodded as she helped the girl sit up and spoke while cleaning her hands as she looks around.

"Becky's right, Cas we need to get them to a hospital. Have them and the equipment to properly check them out."

Jackie looked at her watch the spoke quickly. "Mina and I, need to make sure that both of them don't catch an infection. We've done all we can but we can't make miracles happen."

He nodded once but said. "I understand, let me cut the cord first."
