It was just like any other day. King Link was in the throne room with his allies, discussing on what to do with the Goron invasion that happened only days prior.
"This is madness! My brothers are being crushed and you expect me to remain calm?!" Darman, Of The Goron Tribe bellowed out in rage.
"With all due respect, Darman, we need time to prepare. Of course, I've never seen an invasion of this size." The king explained. The discussion was abruptly cut short when a guard came in and yelled, "Your highness! The crowd of civilians is growing at an alarming rate. We cannot hold back much longer!
"Please, my love, attend to the matter at once." Zelda begged.
"Of course," Link nodded. The throne doors were swung open as the king marched onto the balcony, "Attention, people of Hyrule! This is all very unexpected for ALL of us! As your king, I'm sorry to say I do not know what to do. So please, return to your homes and seek shelter. They could come here any moment, now!"
He marched back inside, his thoughts only filled with protecting his children. His eldest son, James, stood near the throne doors.
"James," Link spoke sternly, "What are you doing here? You know very well not to eavesdrop, especially when it's matters like this."
"Look father, I understand, but what will happen when you die?" Both him and his father paused and looked at each other for a mere moment before he continued, "When will you stop treating me like a little kid?! I can fight with a sword, I'm a good archer and an excellent horseback rider, as well!"
"Enough! Go back to your quarters!"
James, with a sigh, walked back in the other direction.
He's right, Link thought to himself, maybe he is old enough...Link cleared his head and walked back into the throne room.
