Xavier POV:

So, it's the first day of school after the summer break, a boring six weeks of moping around, reading manga. It's five in the morning, I have a shower, put on my uniform the make breakfast. Once I've eaten, I put on my bag and head to the river before to school for a little while, I have a slight headache since around eleven thirty last night. I look in my bag, it feels quite heavy all of a sudden, I have the usual things any student would have, a notebook, a few pens, textbooks. But something's different there is a blood red book in there with an ominous looking eye symbol on the front of it, it reads 'The Portrait Of Markov' and there's another book, much bigger than the other. It reads 'Command Console'. It must be some kind of textbook for my computing class, but there's a note on it that reads 'only use in dire situations, add or delete files or create new ones. Other uses include controlling files and adding new scripts.

That's really weird, whomever gave that to me must be some sort of prat must of given it to me. Well it's seven thirty now might as well leave so I can get to classes and organize myself, if I do I might get teacher's pet points oh boy!

I get to my maths class first, on the way I meet up with a few acquaintances on the way, just some old friends I met whilst in freshmen year. Maths class was easy, it was just basic formulae, next was English class, we were sharpening up on out literature skills, I and a girl named Monika did quite well. After that computing, Monika was in the same class as me again, we both did well, but after having a quick read of the 'command console' book my skills in computing seemed to increase ten-fold. After that was Chemistry I've always been bad at it so I've been studying extra hard on it so now I'm pretty average at it.

"Man I need to pay more attention on after school clubs, I think I'll look at some in a few" I mutter to myself. I start to aimlessly wander around the halls, I've visited multiple clubs: the anime club, I was really interested but they were full and had no spaces; the chemistry club, as I said earlier I need to brush up on my chemistry skills, but unfortunately they were full to. I keep walking down the halls, I stop at a room with a room full of girls, I can hear them conversing about literature. Oh so this is a literature club, I discreetly open knock on the door a girl with long purple hair perks her head up, mouth "can I come in?" The girl elegantly walks over to a girl with long, brunette girl with her hair tied in a ribbon. The purple haired girl walks over and opens the door, after I put my hand up to shake her hand, but she blushes and walks off. As soon as I step inside, a spine-shivering sense of déjà vu comes over me but I just ignore it.

"Hello, welcome to the Literature Club! My name is Monika, what's yours?" The girl I saw in my English class happens to be the president of the Literature Club.

"Oh, hi, my name is Xavier, I saw you in my English class this morning, I was surprised to see someone as good as me in literature" I didn't say that just to be polite, I was genuinely surprised.

"Oh, thank you Xavier, you were really good in computing as well. A little to good" Monika mumbled the last part of her sentence.

"Okay enough with the greetings; I'm here to ask if there are any free spaces since I've been quite lazy the last year so I thought I could join,"

"Well you're definitely up to par to join, but I need to introduce you to everyone before you join." Monika clasps her hands together and says "Okay everyone! We may have a new member joining today, so be polite and introduce yourselves one by one."

First up is the girl with purple hair, apparently her name is Yuri, she tells me she likes, no, loves reading, especially drinking tea whilst reading. She asks me if I like reading as well. I tell her I like reading horror, fantasy and manga. She tells me she reads a lot of horror and fantasy novels, Monika looks surprised that she likes horror, yet I can't shake off the feeling she's heard those words a million times before.

Next is a small, pink haired girl, she kind of looks like a first year, but Monika informs me that she's the same year as everyone else. She hesitantly tells me that she likes manga, I tell her I like manga as well, she seems surprised at this but after barely telling me anything apart from that she likes manga and her name is Natsuki she goes back to looking in the closet.

That was everyone, after our introductions, Monika gathers us for a short meeting. "Okay everyone! To celebrate our new member, we should all write poems for a new assignment. How does that sound?"

"That sounds amazing!" I say with and ecstatic voice, "I've always loved writing poems!"

"I-I don't r-really want t-to do that" Yuri says with a sheepish voice

"Yeah, me neither!" says Natsuki with a pouty lip.

I move closer to Monika and whisper in her ear "I'll try to negotiate with them," after I say this Monika nods at me.

"So you guys don't want to write poems do you?"

"No" they say in unison

"Okay so how about you guys write poems once and see how you like it?"

"No definitely not."

Wait I just had an idea that note on the book said I could alter game files, so why don't I try it out now. I get my back and pull out the book, being careful not to let anyone see it and I write

I knew what to do from my computing class, after that I ask them "hey guys, do you want to write some poems for the next few days?"

"Yeah! That sounds fun!" They reply in unison. After I do that Monika goes up to me and says "hey, what was that book you just pulled out?"

"Oh, it was just a notebook I keep my poems in, anyway isn't it time to leave? It's quarter to five."

"Oh yeah I forgot, Okay everyone it's time to leave don't forget you poems!"
