We know well of Ladybug's and Cat Noir's prospects in rescuing the citizens of Paris. Master Fu has also enlightened us with the case of miraculous. Though what if I told you there was more than just those few. Let's take a step back from the Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. Go even further to a different timeline with two new protagonists. Odonata & Ibis. I don't own any of the miraculous ladybug characters or content but do prompt that you watch it. By the way, this will be an incredibly slow-paced story moving chapter per villain. I'm new to fanfiction. Enjoy
Morning light quivered casting shadows of the numerous evergreen shrubs skirting the tiled balcony. All was well as I muffled my face into the cotton midst of my pillow. Out of fatigue, I yawned tugging the quilt around my neck, the draft created once the sheets billowed led a shiver towards me. Just when my conscious was drifting, leaving a void overcome by disturbingly bizarre dreams, but my luck was out as the vacation was over and my alarm knew that well. Shrilling buzzes, bleeps, and beeps stirred me to my feet whilst I attempted to tame my chaotic bed-head. Heaving my feet across the wooden plains, a miraculous aroma of pancakes accompanied by a surplus of maple syrup. Stopping my mouth from watering was a task enough, I wandered into the bathroom first. After a brisk shower, my eyes were craving those soft stacks of doughy goodness. Not wanting to a waste a second, I got the first outfit in front of me and put it on. A navy, blue sweater-dress complimented by thigh high boots.
My escapade was prolonged by my lonesome journals and textbooks yearning for attention obviously I couldn't resist their yearning to sleep in my black satchel. Mildly exhausted, though excited at the thought of meeting up with Lina, I shoved the pastries into the pits of my stomach. Saying a quiet farewell to my aunt. I pulled my bangs behind my ears and let loose my unkempt ponytail, stroking back the rebellious strands. Back to school, back to reality. Taking a step outside was something I refrained from doing nonetheless it's the only way to school, as a first-time driver it was a tad intimidating.
Father had left on a business trip, or a romantic rendezvous with mother, as a parting gift they invested towards a moped. 'Angel' was the name displayed when we'd purchased it. A beauty whiter than ivory and it came with a ridiculous helmet that had wings on the sides. Throwing back my head letting a grimace spread along my lips remembering those simpler times then revving my engine. 'Angel' purred like a new-born kitten cruising down the asphalt coated roads. Barely able to slam on the breaks. Finally arriving on to campus, Lina clung to me practically deflating my lungs then stroking back the auburn pigtails she wore. Like a bunny, I hopped off parking my Moped out of sight so we could continue and linked arms as we headed to the courtyard.
"So…" Lina began nudging my shoulder. "Have you talked to Adam yet?" She was interrogating me about my crush. Again. My cheeks turned from a warm ivory to a tender carmine. Dreading her over-exaggerated fantasies, I pulled my fringe to over my eyes trying to avoid direct vision. Shielding them from my plethora of embarrassment. "We haven't spoken to each other... yet" Lina knew me like no on else, she scoffed at the idea of me not even muttering to him. "Come on, Amber! This was cute back when we were innocent 12-year-olds but now you have no reason to avoid him!".
"Avoid who?" a snarky voice interrupted. This couldn't be happening. I won't stand for it. Mia. Just the person, I despise to see. I've met bullies but this idiotic, brainless, leech is the epitome of horrible. She took my manuscript and began to read one of my stories to the whole class. That wasn't the worst of it because it just so happened to be a story I'd written about him. Thankfully, I'd been able to convince them it was just a dumb rom-com. It was humiliating. Absolutely irritating.
"What can't you hear me?".
"Of course I can't Mia, because I lost the ability to do anything with your mindless goons corrupting the school!" I was done with her corrosive negativity. Whatever. Each inch I felt the anger simmer, settle and then rumble until I couldn't stand being anywhere near that hag and bolted deserting her in a trail of my dust. Lina was regretting skipping leg-day as she tried to capture her breath when keeping up with me. Luckily enough I was saved by the bell as its much awaited toll ushered everyone to Ms. Bustier's class. We merged into the crowd when entering the class.
"Lina, lets si-" Lina, like everyone else, had a seat the last one was next to Adam. Rapture enveloped me. Keeping my cool. I lay my bag next to my feet once I took the seat retrieving my manuscript disguised as a notepad and a textbook.
"Good morning! I hope you all have had a wonderful summer. Now isn't the occasion to bicker as we've got a pair project." Everyone had already began to bicker numerous disoriented groans floated about. "Hush now, you won't be choosing your partners they'll be assigned by seats." Ms. Bustier reprimanded.
Her piercing remark hushed the idle chat. "Listen up, I refuse to explain this again. Each pair will be assigned a sub-genre you will write me an essay, or tale, about that subject and then rehearse it with your partner. It is due by Thursday. Do not disappoint me. Okay?" The speed of her brief explanation made it difficult to decipher."You can leave once you choose a topic."
My heart was somersaulting, an opportunity to finally interact with him.
"Hey!" Adam's eccentric voice jolted me up. "Your Amber, right?".
My head was bombarded with an abundance of rainbows and sunshine thinking that he knew my name.
"Yeah, and your Adam. We should probably select a card." I galloped to the podium at the front, rustling my hand picking a folded sheet. 'Tragedy' Ms took a reassuring glance at me.
A brief glance at his face told me this was real life! His fair, champagne hair and dusty, blue eyes were a splendid combination. Adam exclaimed, "When are you free?"
"Tomorrow works for me." Not wanting to be weird I skipped on prepared to go home, still pondering why we only have one lesson a day. With Lina nowhere in sight, I threw away the caution that had coddled me so much I'd become reluctant to share thoughts. Riding on an Angel's wings is what I'm feeling, closing my eyes prepared to be whisked away. Though closing your eyes isn't a responsible deed therefore I refrained loitering by the stoplight, allowing an innocent old man to pass. Yet my heart wasn't in the right place something felt off, my eyes lingered to the right their interest piqued by a vehicle moving at a rate it wouldn't be capable of stopping if it were to collide with someone.
Fearing for the old man's life I leapt from my bike and shoved him out of the way barely escaping myself. After gauging my thoughts, he approached me profusely apologising then abruptly leaving shaking my hand before that. Once back on my moped I ventured the last few corners unlocking the door...
