Another story done by guestsurprise! Enjoy!
As Mya was plucking flowers from some nearby bushes, she overheard Storm and some others talking.
"They will be coming this way soon." A voice said.
"I wish we could banish them off the island!" Another voice spoke.
"We need to be ready for anything. Everyone should prepare for anything and everything," Storm said.
"What's going on?" Mya asked, now walking through the bushes and seeing Storm meeting with some of the elders.
"The wild clan is heading through here; there are most unwelcome in this part of the island." Storm replied.
"The wild clan?' Mya asked.
"Yes. A group of centaurs that are known for their wild and reckless behavior. They are uncivilized and are known for creating chaos wherever they go." An elder replied.
"You need to stay close to our territory and do not go anywhere beyond the safety of the trees," Storm said, now looking at her somewhat sternly.
"I promise." Mya replied in understanding.
The elders' ears perked up as they heard wild calls all throughout the trees and through the mountains. The calls sounded like wild animals that were itching for a good time!
"It's them." Storm said lowly.
"Indeed. Come everyone; let's move to our village," the elder commanded, now ushering everyone to safety. But the moment they turned the corner, the wild laughter became louder and louder.
"They're closer than we expected," another elder replied.
"It is because of the winter season. They move down from the mountains to where it will be warmer." Storm said, now placing Mya behind him.
Soon, a ground of centaurs came thundering through the bushes at full speed. Within seconds, Mya and Storm were surrounded.
"Storm…if it isn't the son of the village elders," a voice soothed over the others. Mya's eyes widened as the leader came forward. He looked much wilder than all of the others. His horse half looked like a Clydesdale but his hair was a mix of brown, black, and white like an American paint horse. He was large with dark brown wavy hair that flowed in the wind. He was very handsome, but intimidating.
"Windchaser…" Storm said lowly.
"Awww, now is that anyway to greet your cousin," Windchaser said, now eyeing Mya over his shoulder. "A human? My my, how interesting."
"Stay back…" Storm warned, now keeping Mya behind him. Windchaser rolled his eyes and made a hand gesture. Soon Storm was being restrained by other centaurs and Mya was pushed out in the open. Angry, she turned and kicked the centaur that pushed her in his horse legs.
"OW! Why you little monster!" he growled, now lunging at her. Mya squeaked in terror and tried to run away, but she was grabbed by Windchaser and hoisted up in his arms.
"Now now, calm down there Stargazer. She meant no harm. Perhaps you will think twice about pushing her next time," Windchaser smirked, making the others laugh. Mya began squirming in his arms to be put down and Storm growled.
"Put her down!" Storm demanded.
"Why? I am not harming her. Am I?" he asked, now burying his face in her neck and gently nibbling her neck in greeting.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!" Mya giggled, now gently trying to push his face away.
"Stop that! Release her now!" Storm growled. He felt uncomfortable with his unpredictable cousin giving his friend this much attention.
"I am only greeting her Storm. Do not worry so much," he replied, still not moving his face from her neck. "My your neck is delicious." He cooed, now giving her a few more nips and licks. Mya gasped as she could feel his semi-sharp teeth on her neck and around her ears. After a few moments, he stopped and she pushed on his chest.
"P-Put me down!" she said, now still afraid.
"Oh, now don't fear me human. I mean you no harm. I am sure you've heard tales of us wild ones, but we are quite tame when we want to be," Windchaser said, now putting her down and seeing her stare at his large form. She could even see battle scars where he fought other centaurs. But she was interrupted from her thoughts by his deep chuckle as he leaned up on a large boulder. "Go ahead young human. Touch them."
"I-I don't think so! And release Storm!" she said, but gasped as his tail rubbed under her chin and neck.
"I may perhaps let him go after you too have had your fun. Do you not want to see my battle scars? They are quite spectacular," Windchaser said, now backing against her where his horse hindquarter scars were close to her face and making her blush!
"H-Hey! You're too close!" She said, now pushing on him.
"Am I?" he said, now looking over his shoulder and winking at her, and making the others chuckle and laugh.
"LEAVE HER BE! That's enough out of you!" Storm said, now yanking free of the three that held him. "Mya, he will flirt with any female that moves and breaths, whether centaur or not. Do not be taken in by him. There is a reason why he is the leader of the Wild Ones."
But Storm's face was now turning red with fury as Windchaser turned and took Mya's hand and placed it on a scar on his waist. She gasped at how deep it was but he didn't even flinch.
"This particular scar was when I fought for a maiden that I wanted and I never hold anything back when I want something," Windchaser said, now eyeing Mya with a hungry look.
"Well in this life, you cannot always get what you want," Storm said, now standing in front of Mya. "Mya belongs to my clan and I."
"To you?!" Windchaser said.
"Yes. I consider her my treasure." Storm said, now almost eye to eye with him. "And I will not let anything affect her negatively. Do you understand Windchaser?"
"I understand perfectly. But remember cousin….I always get what I want," Windchaser said lowly, now turning and motioning for his clan to head back.
As they galloped towards the mountains, Windchaser looked back. "Mya!"
Mya looked up in shock! She never told him her name! Her expression made him chuckle. "I have eyes and ears everywhere. Do not be concerned…we may indeed meet again."
And with that, he and his clan galloped back up the mountain and into the fog. Storm wrapped his arms around her to ease her nerves.
"You ok?"
"Yeah. Just an interesting experience. It is never dull around here," she smiled, hugging him back.
"That's for sure. Now then, how about we go and get some fresh spring water and fruit to ease ourselves hmm?" he offered. Mya nodded and hugged him as they began to walk away. But as they walked, Storm glanced back. He could see Windchaser watching from the highest peak before the mountain could disappear into the fog.
"Yes. We will no doubt meet again cousin," Storm said lowly. It was almost as if he could hear him because he saw Windchaser chuckle and then disappear into the fog.
