Operation Matchmaker
Sakura sat in class, fiddling with her pencil. She knew this stuff, easy. Everyone else was flipping through their notes, trying to cram last second before the test. She sighed loudly, then looked around the room. Sasuke sat, hands folded in front of him. Clearly, he wasn't freaking out. He looked over in her direction, and she quickly turned her head, blushing madly. Speaking of blushing, she spotted Hinata in the back of the class. Her face was so red Sakura first thought at she might be sick. Fallowing her glance, Sakura smiled. There sat Naruto, scanning over his notes, which he really should have studied earlier. 'They are so perfect for each other…' suddenly, a light turned on. 'Ha! I got it!' the gears began turning and her pencil went mad, scribbling down her three step plan…
"Naruto, could you come over? I need to ask you something."
"Um… why don't you ask me know?"
"Because I need to show you something first."
"…ok…"
Sakura smiled slyly as she hung up the phone. Step one was officially done. Now onto step two…
Sakura leaned closer and closer to Naruto, eyes closed and lips puckered. Naruto stood in shock, staring down on his pink haired friend. Just as Sakura's lips were about to meet his, a knock was heard on her door. "Sakura, I got your message. Here's the book you-" Suddenly, all went quite. Sakura and Naruto both turned to the door. Hinata stood for a moment, trembling. The silence was broken with the load thud of Hinata's book hitting the floor, echoing through the hall. Before anything could be said, Hinata turned on her heels and began running away, fumbling every other step. "Hinata!" Naruto darted out after her, leaving Sakura alone in her room, a smile on her lips. 'Step two complete…'
"Hinata!" Hinata ran for the door, trying to grasp the knob. Her trembling hand couldn't seem to get a hold of it, and she let out a small sob. She leaned against the wall, still back turned to Naruto. "Hinata…" Hinata turned her face away, trying to stop the tears. Suddenly, she was whipped around. Naruto grabbed her shoulders, holder her in front of him. She squirmed, trying with the little strength she had left to pull away. Naruto's grip tightened. "Stop!" Hinata's hate filled eyes looked up into his pure blue ones, and her breath cut short. His eyes seemed to bring her heart up into her throat. They weren't filled with hate or anger, but calmness. Suddenly she gasped as his arms found their way around her back, pulling her close to him. "Hinata, how can I kiss Sakura if the only person who's ever mattered to me is you." Hinata didn't know what to say. "Naruto-kun…" Hinata's eyes widened when she felt a warm sensation as his lips caressed her own.
Sakura stood down the hall, leaning on the wall. 'Operation match maker a success.' She smiled, and then turned to leave the two alone. 'Hum… I have noticed Tenten eyeing Neji lately…'
A/N: Should I make another one with Tenten and Neji? Reply, and maybe I will...
