Law and order fan fic
Walking in to the office Kate Barker slammed down her briefcase on to her desk, giving Jake a look as if to say don't even ask. She had spent several hours stuck on a delayed train due to the wrong weather. She hated this time of year, when the leaves fell on to the line and wet weather made it unbearable. And to top it off her flat mate had put the flat up for sale due to the fact that she (her flat mate was moving in to a house).
"you ok, Kate?" Jake asked
"Yeah im fine, just need to find a flat closer to the office. Or a house. I am now homeless. Well I will be when my flat mate's flat sells," she replies
Jake thought for a moment and said "Umm you could always move in with me, I have several spare rooms you could always have one, plus if we need to work late we could do it in the house.,"
"Are you sure? Ok, I get my stuff packed. Let me know when I can move in,"

Jake and Kate walked through the royal courts of justice to the court that the case they were prosecuting had been assigned to. They were being called back in as they jury had come to a verdict.
"God I hope we get the one we want, for the families sake," Kate said. She had always been the touchy feely whereas Jake had been the hard as nails one.
"Oh by the way, may I bring my stuff over this weekend?" Kate asked quickly
"Sure, can we talk about this after the verdict has been given, when we're in the pub?"
