Author's Note
Please ask no logical questions, just let Haku and Itachi be.
Itachi watched Haku sleep while gently brushing away his dark locks from his face.
Despite all the things Haku had seen and done, there was still an air of purity and a spirit of innocence that remained untouched and untainted. Haku loved with his all.
Itachi had sworn his life away to an organisation determined to reigh terror onto the world. There could be no happy ending. But Itachi could not let Haku go...Haku reminded Itachi of what life could have been. Haku brought him peace and Itachi was selfish.
Itachi then leant forward to brush his lips across Haku's forehead, breathing in his intoxicating scent. It briefly reminded him of a past that felt like a dream. There would be a flash of sunshine and an echo of laughter, but just like that - it would be gone.
And Itachi was bitterly reminded that dreams weren't real and that heaven was a lie.
...and thet there could be no happy ending.
Author's Note
I prefer one shots over long chaptered stories. Which brings me to my next exciting new point. If anyone would like me to do a short one shot on a pairing that is difficult to find I wouldn't mind writing it. I warn you though, it may take a while and it will be short. I also am quite open minded to pairings but please refrain from such like The Third / Konohamaru.
