There was always one thing that was certain for Agent Rhode Island.
When he was being controlled by his AI, he was known as The Hunter. An entity that cannot be stopped by a normal man. He would destroy his enemy, leaving them dead in their tracks, and striking fear into every man he met. The way his eyes glowed red through his visor, burned into the soul of his enemies. Anyone who wronged him, were sure to face their demise soon enough. The Hunter was something entirely different than Agent Rhode Island.
Agent Rhode Island was a kind man. A man who would drop everything to help you. He would feel so bad if he did something to you, and would apologize too many times, no matter how many times you tell him that it was alright and you forgave him. He was a fair man, too. In spar matches with Agent Carolina, Agent New York, or really anyone, disliked or liked, he would be a good sport and maybe help them with a part of their fighting so they can improve. He knew a lot about weapons, too. He taught everyone how to use them. He was a mentor and friend to everyone.
He never truly could control himself when Zeta took over his body. People called him a monster. Some even would say he was stronger than the Meta. People know little about what Zeta did to him. The stories that go around the dorms of UNSC marines say that Rhode Island's "Hunter" part had some mercy for their victims. These stories are true. The Hunter had the same intentions as the Meta: Becoming human. The Hunter tried to get all the AI, but failed in the process due to Rhode Island being able to take control of his body after his rampage. He stole at least two AIs from two Freelancers, but later asked Agent Washington to destroy them with an EMP. The Freelancers lived though.
Agent Rhode Island's life did get better. He found Carolina. He found his sister, and a few other Freelancers that had survived.
He got rid of Zeta. But he did get a new version of her. A doctor removed the original Zeta. Created a new version so that she could run Rhode Island's armor enhancements. Oh, she was better than the original Zeta. Her rampages were less violent, and Rhode Island had less headaches. But Zeta had many memories of the old Zeta, remembering their alias. They're stronger than before. He will keep fighting and fighting until he falls dead to the ground, lifeless. One thing has always been certain throughout his military life, from the time he joined the ODST until now.
The only certainty is he will never stop.
