It Wasn't Me
Anthony DiNozzo uses his crutches to step out into the bullpen. He had someone pick him up and drop him off right in front of the building. He knew that it was too tiring and would take too much time to go from the gate to bullpen. He had sprained his ankle and hurt his leg when he fell down after picking up his backpack after the Prankster had filled it with a book and dumbbells. He still didn't know who it was. At first he thought it was Gibbs, but Gibbs wasn't a prankster. If it was Gibbs than that meant that he had meant to hurt him. The pranks that he had pulled on Abby, Ducky and McGee had been good, but it didn't hurt anyone. The only one that got the one that hurt was him. What did it mean that Gibbs didn't want him around, so he had hurt him? He was used to be being hurt by his father and never thought that Gibbs would hurt him. Gibbs the man who he thought of as a mentor and a father figure.
He made his way towards his desk and said hello to both McGee and Gibbs. He saw both of them look at him, but he ignored them as he sat down and powered up his computer. He would be on desk duty he knew and wouldn't be able to watch Gibbs's six on the field.
He started reading his email and then picked up one of the requisition forms that he had forgotten to fill out the other day. He started filling out the paperwork and looking over the work and the computer to see if he had missed anything. He got up with his crutches and made his way to Gibbs giving him the paper for him to sign.
He made his way towards his desk and sat down. Gibbs got up and looked at him. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Why are you using crutches?"
"Sprained my ankle and hurt my leg yesterday."
Gibbs nodded and made his way towards the elevator to get coffee once again. He had gone for a while when Abby made her way up to the bullpen and looked at him.
"You okay?"
"Sprained my ankle and hurt my leg yesterday."
Abby looked at McGee.
"We know it was you who did the prank, Tony." McGee said.
"It wasn't me. I didn't do it. I have no idea who it was, but it wasn't me."
"It was you, Tony. Who else would be the prankster?"
"Like I said it wasn't me. If it was me do you honestly think that I would injure myself?"
"It would if it would throw suspension off of you. How do we know that you are injured?"
"Because I am."
Ducky made an appearance just then.
"Hello Anthony. How's your ankle and leg?"
"It's good Ducky."
"You knew that Tony was hurt?"
"Of course he was the one that came down to me when he got hurt."
"So it really wasn't you who was the prankster?"
"It really wasn't me. If it was me I would not have gotten hurt." Tony said as he looked at Abby, Ducky and McGee.
They all nodded and made their way back to where they were supposed to be each of them thinking who was the prankster if it wasn't Tony.
The End
