Ok, so you know the theme song for the Fresh Prince of Bel Aire? Yeah this totally describes what happened except I didn't get sent to live with my aunty and uncle. Instead I wound up in Cardiff. I'm still amazed by how everything turned out. Seriously you should hear this.

"I'm gonna run to the gas station real quick. You need anything?" I said to Ray. "Yeah, grab me a 52 oz. soda. A coke with a bit of ice, and a bag of beef jerky," he said as I walked to the front door. "Sure. I'll be back in a bit," I said as I walked out the door with my headphones in.

As I walked down the sidewalk towards the gas station, I began to feel a little odd. A slight pulling behind my navel, but I'd felt that before when I'd miscarried, and was still fighting the heartache, but walking helped. So I ignored it and continued walking. I got to the gas station and paid for the drinks and snacks, and I felt that twinge again. I thought to myself, well that was odd. I figured I'd talk to Ray about it at home and started heading home.

I got about halfway home, just before the underside of the railroad bridge, when I felt it again. It was stronger this time, to the point of pain. I dropped one of the sodas and doubled over in pain. The next thing I knew, I saw this strange flash of orange, and then nothing.

I felt like I was falling, and I couldn't breathe. It seemed to last forever, but it was probably just a few minutes. I'd get flashes of orange and hear screams now and then.

When it was finally over, I found myself lying on asphalt, but not on the road where I'd been. I tried to sit up and realized I was on a rooftop. Then, I got light-headed and passed out.
