What might have been

It wasn´t bad, really.

A month after they had returned from their journey, Will had realized that all Elizabeth had ever been, was a fan. A typical girl, with her head held high, thinking that no woman would ever love a sensible commodor, rather than a pirate.

But as the day ended, she still wanted a safe, jewelery-filled house.

Will, knowing this, had left her to the commodor, for he knew that he would take good care of her. He still loved her, I´ll have you know, but in a fading sort of way,in a way that didn´t last long in the world of ladies.

He didn´t have money as she expected every pirate to have, nor would he be a pirate much longer, had he decided to stay with her as a blacksmith.

If he HAD stayed and married her and eventually shared a bed with her, they would have had children and happiness, for a while.

But then once, she would stir in the night, waking also Will, already old and senile, and she´d feel disgusted by her current state.Their small house, that was unclean and messy, for the lack of a housekeeper, and Elizabeth´s unwillingness for the matter, would drive her to the embraces of other wandering pirates, who liked the appereance she cast.

And that would have been the end of Will.

So he fled, making sure Elizabeth was all right, and by night, ran towards the Black Pearl, that was awaiting him. Jack, however irritable, had been a great companion of Will´s, and offered to take him aboard as his first mate. Will had also yearned the information Jack could provide him of his sire, Bootstrap-Bill.

He had to swim the last 20 feet of the way, for the Pearl was docked in hidden, so that the commodor´s troops would fail to notice the huge victorian ship under their very noses.

After reaching the ship, ropes were thrown silently to his side.Climbing them up, he found himself staring at Jack Sparrow, the captain of the Black Pearl and most probably, his friend.

Jack stared at him darkly, and Will already started to think that Jack had changed his mind of recruiting him. Then Jack offered him a hand.

Unsurely, Will grabbed it. Jack pulled him on-deck and suddenly started grinning maniacly.

"Welcome aboard, first mate!"

End

You know, this is my first fic, and mostly the motivation for this fic is mostly to get my account working. I´ll understand if you don´t review, since it´s so short, but i guess i´d be happy if you did. Quite frankly, this tells nothing of my writing abilities. So if you hate it, i´m usually better. And if you like it-well,i´m even better when i consentrate(its not in the fic anymore,so i don´t care if consentrate is actually spelled concentrate.).

All good things in life are fading.
