"Fred, George, do you want to see your new baby sister?"

The twins looked up from where they were playing with Ronnie on the floor of the hospital wing at the sound of Bill's voice. Their older brother looked remarkably excited, although they didn't really know why. Wasn't Bill used to having a new sibling by now? In all honesty, the twins hadn't been looking forward to the birth.

"Don't you mean brother?" Fred asked, pulling Ron's bear out of his arms. Their younger brother began to cry and Charlie picked him up, hushing him quietly.

Bill grinned. "Nope. Boys, we have a little sister."

The twins looked at each other, unsure how they felt about this. They were anticipating another brother, another Ronnie, if they were to be honest. But how could they play pranks on a girl, and their little sister at that?

"Want to see her?" Bill asked, closing their mother's door behind them. "Dad's staying with Mum for a while, but our sister's in with the other infants."

"Come on chaps," Charlie said, bouncing a still sniffling Ron in his arms.

Together the pack of Weasley's went to see their newest member, each thinking something different about their new sister. Bill was just happy not to have another brother. Charlie was excited to have a little girl to dote upon. Percy hoped she'd be smarter than his brothers. Ron, well, Ron didn't really have much of an opinion, being only 1 at the time.

But the twins, well, they were disappointed. They had lost a wonderful torture opportunity, they felt, because they knew they'd face the wrath of everyone in their family, not just their mum like usual.

This was how they felt, at least, until they actually saw her. They had to stand on tip-toes and peer through the glass, but even from this far away, they could see how perfect she was. Tiny toes, a button nose and a small swath of red curls. She stole their hearts in that moment, and didn't let go.

"She's wonderful," George breathed. And silently, all his brothers agreed.
