My best friend, Katie squealed in my ear, gripping my hand so hard I could feel my blood flow stop. "JOSHUA! We are finally here, oh my god, I am going to meet those five homosexuals in less than two minutes, abfiuhzFiua I can see them, look, Joshua!" I stopped myself from sending her an exasperated look. Katie had worked hard to save up enough money to be here and finally meet her five idols, Louis, Liam, Niall, Zayn and Harry. Also known as One Direction. They had sold over 12 million albums, were the biggest boyband in the world right now, had more than 8 million fans etc. Just the typical small town band, you might have heard of them. Personally, I didn't see what all the fuss about them was. I mean, they were just normal, eighteen to twenty year old boys who were admittedly cute but not too much. Their music was average and all. I'm talking about the songs which I had heard. I'd heard only two- What Makes You Beautiful and Gotta Be You. The songs were good but nothing spectacular. Anyway, so, Katie had wanted to come to their meet and greet and..well, meet and greet them and she had forced me to tag along to 'save her if she faints.' I slowly chewed my gummy worms and closed my eyes, moaning in delight, shutting out the sounds of the crazy, loud fans.
When I opened my eyes again, I was met by the sight of five cute boys staring at me from the other side of a table. Well, four, actually. Niall's eyes were fixed on my gummy worms. I blushed and averted my eyes.
"OhMyGod, Hi Guys! I'm Katie, this is my friend Joshua and I love you!" Katie squealed while jumping up and down. I remained quiet, worrying about Katie's sanity.
"Hi!" Three voices replied and then Harry raised his eyebrow and said, "Joshua? That's a weird name for a girl." I narrowed my eyes at him and said, "Harry? That's a weird name for a girl too!"
The other boys burst out laughing while Harry smirked, shaking his head. Katie nudged me horrified but I shrugged. Harry didn't mind so there wasn't any problem.
"Can I have some of those gummy worms?" Niall asked, flashing a huge smile at me. I raised my eyebrows, pointing at the packet of Gummy Worms he held in his hand, given by some fans, undoubtedly. He shook his head, "They taste better when they don't belong to me." I rolled my eyes but hesitatingly gave him one.
"Just one? Come on!" He shouted but I didn't have to worry about giving him more of my worms as me and Katie were pushed along by security as well as other fans, away from the table. I smiled, satisfied that I didn't have to share my precious gummy worms. Katie shook me hard.
"What was that, Joshua?! You were so rude!" She almost shouted, looking horrified. I rolled my eyes.
"Keep your pants on girl, you'll never meet them again as it is!" I said and dragged her out of the claustrophobic mall. How wrong I was.
This is basically a starting chapter..I suck at those but I'm pretty happy with this one! :) Hope you enjoy reading this! I'm new at and I haven't quite figured out the site yet but yeah. Anyway, I'll be uploading more of this story in some time. Yes, I mean hours, not days :3
