Winds of Fate: A Fushigi Yuugi Story
Chapter 1
Miaka Yuki was an average high school student, plotting her ways to get into a good high school with her best friend Yui Hongo. One day at the library with Yui she saw a beautiful vision a bird of a deep red with arrays of colors on its tail. She didn't know what to make of it and decided to follow the path of feathers to a rarely used reference room where she found a magical book, "The Book of the Universe of the Four Gods" Yui joined her as they then started reading, they were transported into another world, Ancient China to be exact where they met Human Slave Traders and were threatened to be sold thats when he showed up and helped them. He was unknown to them for now, but that was all the beginning after much hassle and Yui returning back to the present time and Japan, Miaka and Tamahome the man, had become close, somewhat. She had been named Priestess of Suzaku now and the Emperor Hotohori had taken a liking and wished her to be his future wife, she did not answer him at all because they were interupted by something of which Miaka didn't know. Tamahome and Nuriko, another member of the team they had in the making here. Nuriko had taking a liking to Tamahome as when they first met she had kissed him as if they were lovers, but this was their first meeting. Miaka seeing this felt quite jealous but didn't let it get to her, while Miaka was changing one day Tamahome bust in and she yelled at him, he was hiding...from Nuriko. Anyway, Miaka had pledged alliance to Nuriko by being her personal maid, Nuriko accepted on one condition, she was to leave when her and her "Tama- Kins" were together, Miaka accepted by bitterly saying "Why should I want to disturb you two anyway?" One day Nuriko sent Miaka to find an earring in the dark but Miaka didn't know they were not allowed in the Western Pavillion. Miaka searched and searched as she fell into a small pond and was rescued by passing guards, when she returned to Nuriko, Nuriko was fighting with Tamahome since she had told how she tricked Miaka, Miaka had heard the whole thing and also heard Nuriko say how "She pops in and the Emperor goes nuts!" Miaka found how Nuriko was in love with Hotohori and not Tamahome. That is how Nuriko joined in, anyway back to our story. So, Miaka spent the night in the Emperors Quarters alone not sleeping much though, awoke the next morning to find a cruel Tamahome, he was being rude to her as she then spotted Nuriko who said "You spent the night in the Emperors Quarters!? I can't forgive you Miaka!" when Miaka had almost gained friends with her. She spotted Tamahome and went with him arm in arm. Miaka decided to follow them, they knew it at all times as Tamahome ran to auction some of Miaka's things. It was only gum and people made a riot saying how he didn't get it from her since she was the Emperors favorite. Miaka said it was real and they were mobbed as they got behind a wall in an alleyway and men showed up they were a gang and decided to trade Miaka so Tamahome could do business around there (He sold things) he accepted but in the middle of their fight over how much she was worth Miaka punched the man who was holding her, Tamahome then defeated them all as he got cut across the face though, it now started raining as Miaka spoke. "Tamahome...why did you do that!? You can never do business around here and -- and you could've died! Why!?" Tamahome then replied "I do things with my own mind...come on it doesn't matter." Miaka said "To me it does matter! It does because....I love you Tamahome! Ooh! " She then covered her mouth in embarassment as Tamahome would reply "I have no feelings like that I protect you because you are the Priestess..now lets go." Miaka collaspsed to the ground she had been in this other world too long and was getting weary from not being in her world.
