Have you let your mother down? Have you failed at giving her the one thing she's wanted more than you, a grandchild? Do you worry you'll never find the one? Do you go on countless date after date, with the same "I pick my teeth at the restaurant table and never open the door for you" guy?
Well, I know I'm letting my mother down. I know I date the same generic blonde again and again. The one that only wants my money and to go shopping.
I want more.
I want my family. Are you my family? Are you my future?
I work long hours, which is why I am struggling. I won't be working these hours forever, but until I have enough behind me to support you and our children. I won't let you go cold. I won't make you split coupons to feed us all. I'll change those diapers. I'll wake up at 1am and 3am and 5am to make sure our baby is fed and changed whilst you sleep comfortably. I will attend the pta meetings. Get up early on a Saturday morning and make sure everyone is ready for ball games and dance lessons.
Fuck, I'll even make cakes for the schools bake sales.
Me? I am a 28 year old lawyer. I have no criminal records. I don't smoke. I rarely drink (well I'm drinking right now, but that's just to help me get this all out) I come from a large family that I would like to contribute to.
Would you like to meet for coffee and discuss our future? Maybe go and stargaze with me. A walk in the park. Ice skating.
If you have already started keeping cats, I'm not sure I can help you anymore.
