Botan was about ready to strangle the stubborn fire demon. She hit her forehead with the palm of her hand and squeaked, "Well, if you won't try it, then I'll just have to eat it! So there!"

Red eyes narrowed. "You wouldn't dare, onna."

Pink eyes seemed to grin evilly back. "Oh, I would."

Glare met glare and fire appeared to erupt between the two extremely immovable beings.

Finally, the staring match was abruptly cut off when Botan reached for her spoon and gestured wildly with it at the annoyed fire demon. "Do you still not want to try it, Hiei? Because I'm quite good at eating a pint of ice cream, yum, yum! Chocolate ice cream is my favorite! It's SO delicious…" The spoon leisurely descended towards the untouched pint. "It's even BETTER than vanilla! I think it's just SUCH a shame that you won't taste even a TINY bit!"

"Hn."

"All right, fine. Looks like I'll just have to eat the whole thing myself!" Without another word, she happily dragged the pint over to her side of the table, opened the lid, and began to consume it with delight.

Hiei suddenly shot up from his chair. "Onna."

A satisfied, cat-like smile was directed towards him. "Mmm-hmm?"

He grabbed her arm and yanked her forward. "I'm going to try it, now."

The slow, devastating kiss that followed was enough to melt Botan's legs into a pile of goo. She nearly fell over when the amused fire demon let her go.

"Hn, you're right. Chocolate is better than vanilla." The smirk was evident in his voice.

Once Botan's brain was working again, she dreamily thought, Looks like I'll have to get a quart next time…
