Clank, Clank, Clank,
The swords exclaimed as they hit against each other.
Clink
A different noise as the boy switched from stopping attacks to defending against them with his shield.
Thud
"Ugh" the elder had, once again, over-powered the youth, hitting him one last time, the third time.
"How many?" He asked.
"Six-hundred forty-two" said the boy
"Six-hundred forty-two, Eh?" Orca replied with authority
"Yes, sir" he took the hand that was offered and knew that he had done good.
"Well, you've certainly grown in strength over the past month you've been away."
"Heh, yeah, but I still can't beat you, sensei."
"Do not put your self down… swordsman." He said with a wide grin growing on his face.
"Sorry"
"Would you like to try again, Link?" The child looked up at him knowing it was late. They had been at it all day, he was extremely tired. He wasn't even sure he could hit him once.
"Certainly, 'Old-man-Orca'" said he
"Heh," he chuckled "you've got a lot a spunk 'Little Link'"
"Hey, I'm not so little any more. After all you did say I was a swordsman." Link replied proudly
"But you are still younger than me, are you not?"
"Err…" The elder let out a long laugh at this and ruffled Link's messy hair
"Come try to hit me as many times as you can before I hit you three times."
"Ok." He unsheathed his sword. The ancient blade shone from the small light that emanated from the tiny lamp. He knew he had to get home, it would worry his grandmother to no end. And he knew it would be late when he came home, there would be no excuse, and his Grandma would be angry at Orca.
But that wasn't important at the moment.
Clank Clink
Again the sounds filled the air as metal hit wood. The dust lifted from its perch on the carpet. The two friends engaged in battle; expertly maneuvering so as to not damaging anything.
Clink Clink
He'd been hit once. Link fell back as the spear softly hit his head.
"Ugh, ow"
"Ready to give up?" Orca asked
"No way." He stood ready to fight again.
