Konoha Summer Camp
Chapter One:

Sakura Haruno's P.O.V.
I sighed again as I packed my clothes for another year of summer camp. School had been pretty stressful because of the tough curriculum and constant ninja training. KSC had been my sanctuary ever since my parents got divorced. It was pretty nasty and my friends know it's a taboo to mention it. The counselors were understanding and the cabins had a homey feeling to them. I was happy to be returning to Konoha.
Summer was hot and humid in Konoha. I awoke to the chirping of birds outside of my window. My homey room was on the second story of the small home my father and I lived in. When my parents separated, they agreed I would be under my dad's custody. My mother is engaged to a younger shinobi and they plan to marry during the winter. And just like any other day, the first thing I did was take a shower. The cold water never failed to wake me up. I dressed in my camp T-shirt, which was a bright red this year and light brown canvas shorts. My hair was cut in a bob like fashion was suitable for the unbearable summer ahead. I carried my duffle bag and excitedly raced down the stairs. My insensitive dad waited for me at the bottom of the stair case. "Goodbye, honey…" was all he muttered.
I lingered around the front of my house, which appeared as a small, cramped two story house. My flirtatious friend Ino was walking down the street in her camp shirt and short, slutty shorts. She exclaimed, "Heyyy Sakura! I inwardly groaned and unwillingly replied, "Hello, Ino." Luckyly, Piggy-chan did not seem to notice my reluctance. She jabbered on and on about how summer was SO much better than school and how cute boys better be at the camp. I swear, sometimes all I heard was "Shikamaru is so cuuute!" When the bus arrived, I sighed with relief.
In the crowded and hot bus were Naruto, Choji, Shikamaru, Tenten, Lee, and some other ninja from Konoha. And of course, Naruto demanded me to sit next to him. The bus was incredibly loud with everyone talking.
And then they entered the bus.
