Disclaimer: I don't own Hikaru No Go.
"Hikaru, theres something I need to ask you," Akira said to his best friend.
"What," Hikaru asked as he sucked on a stick of strawberry pockey?
"I've been wondering about this for quite some time no to be honest with you" Akira said as he started to play with the cuff of his shirt.
"You know that drives me crazy," Hikaru told him.
"Sorry, I do it out of nervousness," Akira said apologetically.
"It's cool. Pockey," Hikaru offered holding a stick to his friend who took it and started sucking on it.
"So what were you going to ask me about," Hikaru asked his friend.
"Well I was wondering about...your hair," Akira said after a bit of hesitation.
"My hair," Hikaru asked?
"Yes I was wondering about it. I'm sorry for offending you," Akira said softly.
"You didn't offend me by it but what did you want to know about it," Hikaru said as he bit on the stick of pockey in his mouth.
"It's two different colors," Akira said.
"Yeah I think it makes me look cute," Hikaru said.
Akira blushed and went on. "I've never thought of getting close enough to you to see what color your roots are so I don't know what color is natural and what color is dyed."
Hikaru laughed for a few second before he said "I dye it blond."
Akira smiled and said "So now I can stop wondering"
Hikaru gave a nod and said "Tell me about yours."
"What about mine" Akira asked?
"You could of figured out what color mine naturally was by looking at my eyebrows but you dye your eyebrows green like the rest of you hair," Hikaru said
Akira blushed and said "It's naturally green."
Hikaru shook his head and said "No way."
"I'm telling you the truth," Akira said.
"Can you prove it," Hikaru said.
"Yes I can. Look at my roots," Akira said.
Hikaru gave a nod and grabbed out one of Akira's stray hairs.
"Ouch." Akira said.
Hikaru looked at the hair he was holding in his hand. "Yup it's green to the root."
Akira let out a sight and said "I told you it is."
Hikaru smiled and said. "Of course it is but I couldn't of believed it if I didn't have proof."

The two boys enjoyed their box of pockey and walked the rest of the way to their homes in silence knowing the truths about each others unique hair. Now they no longer had to wonder about each others hair and they could think about other things. I'm not going to say what other things but you can think of what they might be in your own mind.
