Sonic was eating some chili dogs as it was a quiet day on the sandy shore of Angel Island, with the hedgehog hearing Knuckles break through the wall overlooking the sea.
"You want to go beat up some robots?" Knuckles asked as he folded his arms together.
Sonic yawned as he rubbed the back of his head. "Well, not really. I just want to sit back and relax."
"...Well, uh, I saw Eggman heading around here," Knuckles blurted as he rubbed his chin. "In fact, I think he might be taking the rings-"
"Say no more." Sonic sighed as he pulled out all seven of the rainbow making Chaos Emeralds, using them to turn into Super Sonic as he breezed through the jungles, rushing towards where Eggman was, who was trying to place down a giant metal capsule.
"N-no! Wait! I haven't even got set up!" Eggman screamed as he waved his hands at the golden hedgehog, who proceeded to send him spiraling high in the clear blue sky.
"So. Now that fatso is taken care of, why is this island back in the sea?" Super Sonic pointed out as he returned to his normal blue self, seeing Knuckles dash back towards where he was.
"Err... I kind of... lost the Master Emerald." Knuckles gulped as he closed his eyes, feeling shame.
Sonic placed his right hand on his face. "Eggman took it, didn't he?"
"...Yep." Knuckles gulped yet again as he shrunk in size, feeling pathetic.
Sonic sighed as he rolled his eyes. "Well, I better get Tails to help us out..."
