The sound of the ocean filled Noel's ears as he started to come to. Not only that but he also noticed the smell of salt water knock his senses into gear. He slowly opened his tired eyes, and the first thing he saw made him smile.

Lying beside him was a beautiful blue haired young woman wearing white and lavender, fast asleep and without any sign of distress. Paddra Nsu-Yeul, better known as Yeul and former Seer looked to be the most peaceful he had ever seen her.

He placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled, 'Sleep well, Yeul...' He was glad, and even happier knowing that Yeul was alive and with him now. Ever since the end of the previous world he had gotten what he wanted before he was to move on to the next life and that was to be with Yeul once again.

Yet in his mind though he was with her finally, in his mind she was just within his grasp and he didn't want to lose her again.

Hoping to not wake her up Noel slowly sat up and he instantly realized that the place he woke up in was not in the slightest bit familiar. An all-white room save for the red carpet on the floor, the room had many windows but also had a pair of glass doors that were open and enshrouded in white curtains that were flowing in the breeze. Carefully Noel got back on his feet, while noticing that he and Yeul had been sleeping together on a large fluffy bed, he tried to get his mind to comprehend where it was they could have ended up. After that god was defeated and he and his friends all went their separate ways he was hoping to end up meeting someone from earlier.

But it seems that none of that was happening anytime soon.

Passing the open glass doors Noel noticed that there was a paradise outside. He could a white sand beach that stretched for miles, a crystal blue ocean, and a luscious green forest that went deeper inland. A tropical paradise that reminded him of the Sunleth Waterscape back in his time travelling days but he had a sneaking feeling that he didn't have to worry about an angry school of flans attacking him this time.

A light knock was heard from the far side of the room and Noel turned to see a moogle pushing a silver food cart into the room.

"Oh, good morning, kupo."

The moogle looked familiar, "Mog?" Serah's old friend whom Lightning had given to her sister to protect her. 'I thought...wait, it might not be him...'

The moogle answered, "I'm not Mog, silly, but you can call me Kuppo, kupo. I'll be serving you and your friend while you stay here, kupo."

His hopes slightly dashed, Noel let it slide. "And where is here, exactly, Kuppo?"

The former hunter went up to the small wooden table that was in the center of the room. It had two chairs and it was just beg enough for the two plates that Kuppo had placed on it as well as the large serving dish he was offering.

The moogle answered, "Mog's resort, kupo. a private island getaway that is the jewel of the world...that is to those who know of its existence, kupo."

Noel sat down at the table casually. "That sort of private huh? Well, guess I better thank someone for sending us here."

"Mr. Mog said something about a pink haired lady asking for you two to have a room, though she never did say what her name was. She looked rather scary in her armor, but when she smiled oh boy was she pretty, kupo." The moogle got all flustered.

Noel knew who the moogle had described, and he felt extremely grateful for what the savior had one. "Thanks Lightning..."

"Awesome name for a warrior kupo-oh, hello there, miss!"

Noel turned around and saw that Yeul was wide awake and standing right behind him, her right hand on the back of his chair. He hadn't even noticed that she had gotten out of bed. "Hey Yeul. You sleep alright?"

She didn't say anything at first, instead bending down and planting a quick kiss on Noel's forehead.

The former hunter's cheeks turned as red as the moogle's pom-pom while the little creature tried to hold in a laugh at Noel's expression.

The former Seer smiled, "Yes I did, Noel, thank you."

She went and sat down in the other chair after moving it closer to Noel. Yeul was such a dignified person and she was just shy of twenty years old, many people probably wouldn't believe her if she told them what she had done in her previous life, nor would they if Noel had any say in the matter.

The past was in the past and he intended to keep it that way.

"I was going to ask how we got here but I heard you peak about a pink haired warrior and I think that answered my question."

Snapping out of the kiss from earlier, Noel cleared his throat, "Y-Yeah, we better thank Lightning the next time we see her."

Giggling lightly, Yeul agreed, "But until then, why not we enjoy this resort? I cannot recall the last time I was at such a place as this."

Kuppo handed Yeul a drink and a plate, "If that is what you want, kupo, I would gladly give you two a tour of the island. Stay as long as you want, kupo."

The look that Yeul and Noel gave each other was proof that they were going to enjoy themselves greatly regardless of what they found.

To Noel, it was the start of an interesting vacation...

A/N: Though story technically is set with characters in FFXIII-2 it technically takes place after Lightning Returns. Also, I know that Yeul in the game is like fourteen years old but to avoid backlash I made her nineteen or twenty in this story, but I hope you enjoy it.
