Inner Suffering

Jake,

Having a great time in Alaska! How's the pack? Anyway, I've got to go now. See you in a few weeks!

Bella x

I read the email again, it was typical Bella to write something as short and unimportant as that. Bet she hadn't even wanted to write to me. Only because of Nessie I suppose. I slammed the screen of my laptop down in frustration, almost breaking it again. Billy had managed to scrape enough money together to actually afford a decent laptop, but it was still slow and several of the keys were lost. I sighed loudly. Why, I wanted to scream. Why does it have to be me that falls for a chick who is in love with a filthy parasite. Pretending to imprint on her daughter had been hard enough, just so I could stay around. And now, she's off with her stupid little 'family' of three in Alaska, having a 'great time'. I rested my head on the desk. I loved her. There was no getting away from the reality. That was all I wanted, to get away from this sick reality of being in love with Bella. If I could just imprint already, to get away from it all. To have a reason to get up in the morning, a reason to live. I shoved my chair back, making it screech on the cheap linoleum and walked out of my house. I didn't know exactly where I was going, everything reminded me of Bella, but I had to get out. I strode over to the woods, my feet thudding on the ground and my shape rippling, changing into a wolf.

Before I knew it, I was at the ravine that separated Quileute territory from the Cullen's land. It was a beautiful place. Dark water flowed through moss covered rocks and great fir trees surrounded it, making it impossible to see the sun. The odd flower grew in the grassy patch of our side. Nothing grew on the Cullen's. I found the ravine calming, the sounds of nature and wildlife heavy in my ears transported me to a different world. I imagined a place where the Cullen's never existed, where Bella and I were both human. We would sit on the log outside my house and talk deep into the night, we would make out in my garage and we would be together for all of our human lives. A sickly sweet smell shattered my illusion. I opened my eyes and prepared to growl at the bloodsucker. But it wasn;t a Cullen. Hell, it didn't even look like a vamp. She had porcelain skin, with rosy cheeks. Her hair was long, straight and mahogany. Her brown eyes glimmered. I stepped forward.

"Bella" I whispered.

Then, everything went black.

The End

So, did you like it? Kind of short but...heck, its a one-shot!

Anyway, please review!
