"Naoto! Ohgi! Don't forget to pick up Kallen after school!" shouted a rushing woman. She moved her brownish-black hair from her face and turned, seeing her eldest son come into the room. He was fixing his school uniform and biting into a bagel. His younger brother, Ohgi, was right behind him. "Nuf prm, Muf." said Naoto, chewing on his bagel. Ohgi nodded, "Yeah, we wouldn't forget Kallen."

At that moment, a young girl around ten years old ran into the room, a smile rested on her face as she held a paper in her hand, "Mom! Look at my test! I got a 100%! I got an A!" said Kallen excitedly. Her mother smiled, ruffling her hair, "Good job, Kallen! I knew you could do it." Kallen beamed and Naoto walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her neck and pulling her into a hug.

"I told you that studying would help.' he said smiling down at her.

"Thanks! You're the reason I-" she stopped, hearing Naoto's cellphone ringing. She frowned, seeing him take it out and push a button. He looked at Ohgi as his face grew serious, "We've gotta go. Fast."

Ohgi understood and immediately put his bag near the table next to Naoto's, "Right." he said and walked out behind him.

Their mother nodded, "If you don't hurry off to school, you'll be late!" she called watching her two boys rushing for the gate of their yard. Kallen walked out slowly infront of her mother, a slight frown on her face.

"See you after school, Kallen!" shouted Ohgi, trying to keep up with Naoto.

Kallen shut the gate and stood on the sidewalk for a moment, staring after them and waving slightly. She knew her brothers were going to meet up with the Black Knights, a group that Naoto had taken leadership of recently. From what Kallen had heard, Ohgi and Naoto were going against Britannia in a rebellious group known as the Black Knights. However, her mother had always told her to stay away from Britannians if she could help it, in fear of them attacking for no reason.

She was half Britannian and she knew it, but her mother told her to take role of a full 'Eleven' as they were called; the Japanese. Walking to school slowly, glaring at the ground as she did so, "They were supposed to walk with me today.." she thought and held back tears as she heard a few screams from a nearby skyscraper. She bit her lip and took off into a run, heading towards the school.

Tears streamed down her face as she could think of nothing but her older brothers. "Naoto..Ohgi.." she thought and finally made it to the school, not realizing she ran right into the principal's arms, sobbing softly. The principal patted Kallen's head, taking her inside slowly. She knew that the younger children could not handle the wars and terrorists bombing that were going on.

Kallen walked off to class awhile later, barely talking to anyone as she hung up her bag near her chair and pulled out her English book as her teacher told her to do. When the teacher pulled her aside to ask what was wrong, Kallen merely replied, "My brother's didn't walk me to school like they said they would..that's all."

The teacher nodded and left her to her work.

The day finally ended and Kallen walked outside, a frown on her face as she again saw no Naoto, or Ohgi. Biting her lip, she held her head down as she walked the silent walk home.
