The Sorrows of Our Blessed Mother
Disclaimer: I don't own the Bible.
Authors Note: I believe every word that has been written in the bible because the bible is God's Word.
The Blessed Virgin Mary stood in front of the cross
On which her Son our Savior was nailed,
suffering agonies in the intensity
that no one has ever suffered before.
She watched his agonies
with sorrow flowing from her eyes,
that revealed a heart that has been pierced through and through.
For every thorn that pierced his head,
every nail that pierced his hand or feet,
each bite of the whip that tore his skin,
each insult that broke his heart,
and each sin that made his cross heavy
was felt in the heart of a mother so true.
No one knows sorrows or sufferings more than our Blessed Mother
except for Jesus himself.
She stood patiently, though she wanted to take him down
and relieve him of his sufferings,
but she knew that he was redeeming us,
saving us from eternal death.
She spoke no words of anger or hate
against those who crucified her Son;
instead, she stood silently uniting her sorrows to Our Lord's
for she too wants us to be saved from eternal destruction.
The Lord knew how loving his mother is
so when he gave her to John
he gave her to us all.
How can we not honor a mother that is so true,
a mother that surpasses all others,
a mother that loves us so much,
that she will bring us to her Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.
