Balloon Hat
Just a quick one shot of these two. I wanted it to be mushier, romantic like, but oh well. Based on Digimon the second season where they are twelve-ish.
T.K was caught off guard when Kari ran up and jumped on his back, asking for a piggy back ride. He stumbled forward just a little, but was able to maintain his balance.
"And if I say no?"
"I'm not taking no for an answer."
"What if I flip you off?"
"You wouldn't."
"Maybe, maybe not," the blonde said with a grin.
"Whatever," Kari said, knowing that her friend was joking.
"So where too, your royal highness," T.K. said happily.
o.o.o.
The two friends stopped to take a break at the bench across from the ice cream stand in the park, allowing the tasty snack to push away the heat of the summer.
"So is it my turn for a piggy back ride now?" T.K. said as he looked over to his friend. He was answered with the clicking sound of a camera.
"Hey! If it didn't turn out good, you better delete it."
Kari hit the review button on the camera and immediately was in tears from laughing so hard.
T.K. snatched the camera from her, curious now. It took him a second but soon he was laughing just as hard.
She had captured him mid speech, so his face was contorted funny, but the best part was the random clown in the background. He had just finished making a pretty pink balloon hat for a little girl and was handing it to her.
The timing was perfect. It looked like the clown was placing the hat on T.K.'s head.
The two laughed until they felt the cold ice cream start to drip on their hands from melting under the sun's glare.
"Do I still have to delete it?" Kari asked as she finished her cone.
"I get the feeling you wouldn't even if I asked you too.
Kari smiled back at him, and he knew that meant he was right.
