Kana lays on the itchy sheets in the ships bedroom staring up at the cold ceiling.

The only sounds in the small room are the low humming of the ship's engine and her own breathing. They're landing on Tatooine now, another planet, another contact. Any moment Corso will come crashing through her door and announce their arrival.

The mission starts to flood her mind and disrupt her quiet. Risha has laid the details before her already. They're to meet an Kadas'sa'Nikto named Tookreek at a small cantina and attempt to make a deal with him. She wonders in what way this will go wrong. It seems in everything they try to do someone or something messes up their plans. But something else nudges at her mind. She doesn't know if it has to do with this mission or another mission coming, but it's there. Just far enough out her reach that she can't tell what it is.

Betrayal? she wonders. It will not come as a surprise. She's been betrayed her whole life. Her mother, her sisters, her father. You betrayed him, an evil voice sneers in the back of her mind.

She doesn't feel that it's about this mission. No. It's something else. Risha? What does she even know about the woman? She stands at that computer all day, speaking only to criticize Kana's ways of doing things or to explain more about the elusive treasure of Nok Drayden. She wonders if it's such a good idea following that woman's every contact and wish.

Whatever the source is of the feeling, she can do nothing about it now. It lays in the shadows, waiting to make itself known. Perhaps it is her past catching up to her, perhaps her future still has something in store. She only hopes her and her crew will be ready for it, whatever it is.

"We're here!" A voice breaks through her thoughts. A loud annoyed growl comes from down the hall, Bowdaar must have been taking a nap.

Kana takes one last deep breath. Tatooine is here. It is not out of reach, it is now, she tells herself. Whatever it is that is coming, it will have to wait a little while longer.
